    Nick Pope

You don't get it from the cropping, but he's so good at reading the player. No coincidence in a subsequent interview he said he'd 'picked up a few things' from being in a few shoot-outs before. Players get told, pick a spot and don't change your mind. But when you got a keeper that can seemingly read as well as Pope can, that's a recipe for disaster. Won't work against the ones that wait for you to commit to a side before taking the shot (Sampras-style serving to use a tennis analogy), or the ones that just power through and don't really aim, mind. Still, he's so good it's ridiculous.
  2. Exactly the same as my thoughts on all counts, Wallsendmag.
  3. The player that is Bruno, that plays with an almost unfathomable amount of confidence to marry up with his tremendous skill, is also going to be a player that won't do the simple things at times. I don't want him to change, I love him for who he is, faults and all. Carry on taking penalties (if you're allowed after last night!) in any way you bloody like, mate.
  4. Why am I worried every time I hear the word 'Lascelles'...
  5. I don't think he's intentionally the colour commentator, he's just a bit simple
  6. The things you learn each day, had no idea Maxi had a middle name of Irene Come on Irene, your skills are obscene.. anybody?
  7. No good drama is complete without a believably conflicted hero. Worrying.
  8. I think you answered that yourself - PCP through Stavely & Co have brought in some of the best people in the business to ensure the club gets run correctly, as a business, with clear goals and a vision. Ashworth especially will probably have the biggest say in Howe's position, and they wouldn't have hired him to then not listen to him when it counts. It's mad, we've gone from a literal laughing stock of an organisation, asset-stripped and skeleton-crewed, to having some of the best people around. Seeing all the blocks fall into place one by one is so satisfying, I get as much satisfaction (sad as it is) from getting people like Eales and Ashworth as getting Isak and Botman. It's with them that the future of this club rests.

Not too sure on that, Brighton won't finish above us this season even with Trossard. A more apt example would be us buying a first teamer from one of the teams likely to finish ahead of us.

I mean it would be the most blatant case of pot calling the kettle black of all time, but anyway
  13. Lads, come on I want Almiron to get it too lol. All I said was it's not clear cut, and that Haaland broken an all-time record in the month in question. Not sure why I'm getting all these quotes
  14. Anyone else thinks this photo could have been taken straight out of the 1980s?

  16. They wouldn't have got there without you, Mr Howe
  17. The point remains though that he broke the record in October.
  18. In Haaland's favour, he's broken an all-time record in October of 3 back-to-back home hattricks. I'd love for Almiron to win but it's not that clear cut. Hopefully other fans love the redemption/Grealish angle to give him the edge.
