  1. He's always been fairly contempuous of the RC crowd TBH.
  2. Given Mourinho's reputation for working with young players....sounds perfect.
  3. Finished above Man United for first time (since I've been a fan), and all I feel is disappointment.
  4. Poor final ball from everyone. Livramento was especially frustrating for me. But the opportunities were there. Optimistic about Man United away.
  5. More shots in this cameo than Isak had had all game. Yeah, sould've done better, but we're getting chances.
  6. Thought BHA had effectively neutralized Isak. Not that bothered with the change. Up to Barnes and Almiron to apply pressure

    Lewis Hall

Looks like a New Yorker cartoon
  9. Brighton will have a lot to say about who finishes where: NUFC A 11 May Chelsea H 15 May Man Utd H 19 May
  10. The Baltimore Orioles play 162 games a season.
  11. Barring another rash of injuries, sure
  12. I was going back a forth. It's a silly list. Really excited about Tino at the moment. (Burn, Botman, Tonali --line I 've already forgotten) Silly.
  13. Saw one of those listsicles ranking Chelsea transfers since Boehly took over and was amazed the money they’ve wasted. Thought I’d try doing one for Howe. Highly subjective. Keep changing the criteria between contribution and potential payoff. Ultimately just my feeling about them at a minute. Not a bad transfer in the bunch (And yeah, I do think that Wood was a good transfer— both the acquisition and the sale) Trippier Guimaraeres Isak Gordon Livramento Botman Pope Barnes Tonali Burn Hall Minteh Wood Kuol Ashby Targett Karius Diallo
  14. I’d play Tino at goalkeeper if we had to. But yeah. The way we were a threat both on the left and the right. Everything seems to gone primarily through Trippier and Miggy for so long. Now with Gordon and Livramento we’re scary on the left.

Having some doubts about Hall. I realize that he couldn’t play against Chelsea, but he’s remained on the bench in two games where he was the only reasonable midfield sub. Howe trusts Miley enough to start those three games. But Hall doesn’t make an appearance ? Not even to kill the game?

You’re crazy. Livramento was the one. (There were some doubts about whether he would fully recover from the injury.)
  17. @Froggy Not imagining it. Yes, the most immediate instance was read on RedCafe, but I’ve read and heard if elsewhere —- mostly from random yahoos. It’s so strange. Made me laugh in disbelief they fist time I saw it. Maybe I am on the lookout for it now. I always picture these clowns dawning a tweed jacket and a pipe before as they sit down to post.
  18. He is not the only self-identified « expert » making that same observation. There are a lot of moronic pundits — amateurs and otherwise, who’ve got it in their heads that NUFC are going to have to ditch Howe if the club wants to be amongst the big boys. It’s a really strange thing to run a football club that you never watch from inside your own head.
  19. Cracks me up how these « experts » are always pontificating about the difficult choices Newcastle will have to « go to next level » —- meaning binning Eddie Howe and hiring an elite manager. (you know, somebody like ETH)
