  1. I think that Woltemade and Wissa signings are different. The club was forced into making these signings after missing on other targets. I think they would've prefered to keep Isak and sign a young talent as a Wilson upgrade. Wissa is better than current Wilson, but he's not an ideal choice because of his age. Woltemade is a risk. Maybe he'll be great. But there were safer bets available and we missed out. So these are different in that I don't think that either player was anything like the club's first choice.
  2. What? The way Joey Barton is a cult hero?
  3. 4-3-3 Pope Liveamento Thiaw Botman Hall Miley Tonali Willock Murphy. Woltemade Gordon
  4. He could try to bring in Guehi.
  5. Robbie Mustoe tapping up Eddie Howe yesterday on NBC. Media bastards. It's alaways about Man Utd (except when it's about Liverpool). Clicks and eyeballs.
  6. I am more concerned with burning out our starting three. Bruno looked absolutely knackered in the second half. So much so that I don't think is would be that great a downgrade to give him (or the others) as rest. Though not against Barcelona obvsly. If one or more sit out a game, we may not be as good in that game, but we'd be better off long term. We collapsed second half away to Villa becuse their legs were shot. More experience and confidence will nean that the dropoff wouldn't be so great. Willock looked up for yesterday, Miley needs the minutes-- we're better off giving him the experience, and Ramsey looked alright.
  7. I wonder how long it will take fans of the other clubs to figure out how good he is. The Youtube content creators eventually figured out that Joelinton, Schär, and were actually quite good. It gradually became a general consensus, but I don't think they really believe it. Probably because most don't watch us on a regular basis. They see us play two or three times a season-- against Man Utd, Arsenal, or Liverpool. Saw some roundtable earlier this year were someone asked whether Tonali was "world class" and they all said no. So, the Youtube content creators haven't figured it out yet. Hell, they've only just figured out that we haven't overpaid for him (and Gordon). I wonder if what he does just runs under the radar. I was looking at the match ratings handed out on Who Scored. I don't really understand how those ratings are dynamically calculated, but they gave Trippier a 7.9 (and MOTM) and Tonali a 7.5, which seems nuts to me. We weren't hurt by any of Tripper's many errors, but we might have been. Tonali -- it was like we had two players on the pitch. Covering for everyone else.
  8. When do we get to see him play? Can't see dropping Schär or Burn anytime soon, but I'd hope that Howe will try to get our back ups minutes. Bradford? Maybe start Thiaw, Ramsdale, Willock, Osula? (I 'd hope that Hall will have barged his way into the first 11 by then.)
  9. Sesko to Man Utd. It was a poor decision by Sesko, not a bad one by Man Utd.

Me feeling happy Wissa will be out only 4-6 weeks.
  12. Pope 8 Trippier 6 Schär 8 Burn 7 Livramento 7 Bruno 7 Tonali 8 Joelinton 7 Murphy 7 Woltemade 8 Barnes 6
  13. Yeah, we're up. But Trippier and Barnes have been poor. (I'm usually defending Barnes BTW)
