Newcastle United vs. Manchester United: 2/12/23 @ 20:00 (TNT Sports)

Anyone think Howe will change the first 11? Was wondering if he might give Hall a start? Or give Krafth or Dummett a go? Trying to imagine a way he might give someone in the midfield rest. All I come up with was pushing Livramento or Hall forward. Or play Ritchie. -
God bless Jamaal Lascelles. Give Botman whatever time he needs to heal. Strangely his absence seems to be the least of our problems.

Huge fan. Of course, I wouldn't for a minute have him ahead of Gordon now. But my assumption at the beginning of the season was that Barnes would be the guy on the left for the forseeable future. Finding a way the get him minutes.... nice problem to have.
-
Not advocating anything. Can either Barnes or Gordon play on the right? With Murphy out, it might be a good idea to give Miggy a break every now and then if the fixtures pile up.

Hmmm When first saw the lineup I was thinking he might move Hall forward and play Tino and Trippier at the back. Didn't occur to me to play Livramento as a forward. -

It's nice to think that "being Pardewed" (and the equivalent) is reversible. So strange to have a manager that actually improves players. -

Article/photo album at the Athletic that documents recent history of the Schär diagonal to Joelinton. Arsenal, West Ham, Tottenham, BHA, Fulham, Tottenham. Obviously, not all of them came off. -
Newcastle United 1-0 Arsenal (04/11/23) - Post match reaction from p. 46

Really? Hadn't noticed that. Though Postecoglou's comments today made me realize that it wasn't just Newcastle fans who were fed up with Arsenal's self-rigthousness. And then there are some Man Utd pundits. Neville in particular really appears to be enjoying himself winding Arsenal supporters up. -
Didn't people used to like Klopp? Hard to believe it now, but I think that happened. Maybe I was high.
-
Definitely a dig at Arteta.

Ok, I officially love Postecoglou. The anti-Arteta.
-
Could see Postecoglou turning this into a positive for Tottenham.

Chelsea will find a way to drop points.

Another false dawn for Chelsea. Something credible and then a home loss to Sheffield Utd will do.

We did it

What's the record for added time?

We can thank lollerpool for this, marathon VAR reviews

I didn’t think we’d win either of those either. Sticking with pessimism; it’s working for me. -
Was thinking that Gordon could start up top with Joelinton and Miggy. Bruno, Longstaff, and Willock as the midfield three.
