They could really use a player like Conor Gallagher.

Nah, I think it is because he is a saleable asset and we need to make spots in the roster if we are going to sign more players. He’s one of the few expendable players we have that other clubs might want.

Why would any of Chelsea’s rivals help them out and buy a Sterling or Pulisic? Smaller clubs couldn’t afford to pay their contracts. Would be anti competitive behavior (maybe illegal), but the other clubs competing for those CL spots could just refuse to do any deals with Chelsea at all.

I started watching English football in 2002. There was one obvious choice.

I’m not sure that I’ve figured out their reasoning/methodology. Why are Man United higher in the table? Presumably because they have a game in hand? Haven’t sussed out “team controls destiny” bit (red vs. green) numbers.

Palace have been poor at home. In their last two home games they’ve lost 0-4 to Spurs and 0-2 to Fulham. Managed one win since the World Cup beating Bournemouth away. Otherwise they haven’t scored. We’re creating a lot of good opportunities. I think we’ll hammer them.

That’s clean sheets in the last five league games. 11 of 19 games have been clean sheets. Incredible.
