  1. Will Anelka be available? Is he getting a five-match ban? How soon would it start?
  2. What pisses me off about Pardew -- well, the Southampton match. Bringing Ben Arfa is what won the match against Man Utd. They were resurgent and he came on and killed the game. Absolutely brillant. So what does Pardew do against Southampton? Does Ben Arfa start the second half? Or do we sit back and invite the pressure? He brought Ben Arfa on when, in the 80 minute? I'd really like to like Pardew-- his personality has nothing to do with it.
  3. Well, I'll be pulling for them in the Champions League.
  4. West Ham going down would end all of that ... "X would not have gone down with Big Sam in charge" bullshit. I'd like Villa to stay up because I like having Lambert around. His post match interviews are always a treat. He talks and I struggle to understand. Great game.
  5. Why have they got Gouffran as a forward? When (if ever) has he played up top for us? Any others out of position? Any midfielders registered as defenders?
  6. Already wrote off this season. They won't make the top 4 and don't want the Europa. Will hire a new manager after the World Cup. Should've just went that Ted Lasso fella.
  7. Merry Christmas. (NO has detractors?)

    Sunderland

Altidore ought to be worth a couple of mill from some random Dutch side.
  9. Surprsing? Are people confusing this seasons' WBA with the one that featured Lukaku?
  10. Absolutely. It's as if he didn't notice how bringing on Ben Arfa killed the game against Man Utd. Frustrating.
  11. But would he get an extension if the US finishes last the group (a very real, even likely possibility)? Much more difficult to do then. Agree that we're much improved since he's taken over. No complaints whatsoever.
  12. I think Cherundolo just came back for Hannover. Wouldn't count him out. Amazing thought. But I wouldn't be shocked.
  13. Should be noted these aren't actually predictions, just each nation's percentage possibility of getting out of there group. Put together by Nate Silver, who's probably the best statistician around, he was the only one to get close to predicting the election in 2012. Um, no. Most statisticians projected Obama to win easily. Silver got the electoral college count exactly right. Sam Wang (Princeton) was also very close. It was the right wing pundits and propagandists who were way off. On the left, Markos Moulitsas (daily kos) was as accurate as Sliver.
