Why on earth would he go there? Hardly a step up from Fulham.
  2. Having a player that can overlap and attack effectively will help Ben Arfa.

So when Reyna was at Sunderland, what did you do? Probably a fan. Admit it.
  4. If you already have Moses and he goes to Chelsea, you can have four Chelsea players in your squad. But next time you make transfers you won't be able to confirm them unless you've gone back to 3 maximum. Thanks. I wasn't sure how they implemented/enforced the rule.
  5. Damn, I'm already loaded with Chelsea players and now they're going to buy Moses. So, am I going to be allowed to have 4 Chelsea players or forced to sell? What if they buy another of my players and I go into a week with 5 Chelsea players, would I then be forced to make two transfers and take the 4 point penalty?
  6. Well, now I really do hope that QPR go down. Mismanagement on this scale deserves punishment.
  7. Good luck with that at one transfer a week, well you can do more but lose 4 points for each transfer. Figure I'll hold onto the Reading palyers as squad subs and swap out 2 Chelsea stars. Really should have thought this out a big more.
  8. 42 points. I'm loaded with Chelsea and Reading players (+ Nani) and so I have 6 left to play. Now I have to turn around and sell them as quickly as possible. Don't think either (Chelsea, Reading) have a game in Week 3.
  9. I'm so blasé about your impressive lexicon. I think you mean his vocabulary.
  10. They discussed this on the latest World Football Phone-In and came up with an interesting suggestion. My initial opinion was that whilst penalties aren't ideal, we've grown up with them and they're ingrained in the game. It's cruel and luck plays a part, but that's life lets just accept we'll never find a better idea. It may not be the perfect solution, but its the optimal solution. We can't do replays (due to logistics), decide it on least fouls committed (puts pressure on referees), on most corners (it'll promote unsavoury tactics) or anything like that. We're stuck with shootouts forever! However, I really liked what they came up with - have the shootout between the 90 minutes and extra time, so the losing team can still do something about it. If Chelsea win the shootout, Bayern have 30 minutes to grab a winner and make the shootout irrelevant. They'll have to go for it and it will stop dull, negative extra time periods. Opinions? Should we just leave it as it is or can penalty shootouts evolve? Don't remember if it was Beckenbauer, Cruyff, or Carlos Alberto (they interviewed all three), but there is a moment in the that film about the New York Cosmos when one of them expressed admiration for the NASL shootout rules. Can't say i thought it was an improvement. My jaw dropped when I heard it being praised. (God, I hope it wasn't Beckenbauer.)
  11. kudos to Kompany. Terrific player. Deserved champions. Nice seeing the congratulations the players exchanged after a hard fought game. A lot of respect there. Still, if Mancini had coddled Tevez and purged Balotelli, they would've clinched the title a month ago.
  12. Villa at home playing against ten men in a relegation dog fight and on their back heels piss off
  13. It gets even better. "We wuz robbed!!!!"
  14. Carroll is too good for Liverpool.
  15. Make them stand cheek to cheek...
  16. Surely the score 7-3 is misleading and doesn't truly reflect the ebb and flow of the season. Liverpool have hit the woodwork a half dozen times (at least) and several of Parky's goals were blatantly offside. Also, Manc refs.
  17. Ba said something like "well, of course he meant it otherwise it would've been in the stands..." Makes sense to me.
  18. Hate Birmingham, still I want Hughton to win.
