  1. Friedel with the sun in his eyes. Did Joey win or lose the coin flip?
  2. I noticed that a few times in the first half, he was in acres of space on the right with no one within 30 yards of him and Tiote, Ben Arfa and Cabaye all kept on passing the ball left to Jonas instead. I couldn't help but think even they have given up on him. Some opportunities in the first half to rip them open if we had an attacking right back. A piece we're missing.
  3. Shola Ameobi, folk hero Edit: Glad everyone else got a laugh out of that.
  4. He is? Well shit, why aren't we on more! 2/3 of the panel love us. Yeah, said so last year. Seems to be the rule everywhere else that a panel must have at least two Scouse fanboys.

    Emre

Short-tempered fuckers, I tell ya. They leer at young girls, man. It's disgusting. Fucking hell, nothing quite like a sweeping generalisation. To say the least. "Them", who needs 'em.

    World XI

I still can't get over Denmark being in top 11. I guess that's what you get for making an overrated Portugal your bitch.
  7. What is Godzilla gay? Am I missing something?
  8. No problems with Godzilla. Or earthquakes for that matter.
  9. Could say the same about the Philly DC NY area! Except for the weather bit, because then that would be a lie.... [/snob] Bullshit, weather would be far more sensible here than it would over there. If you want all our players to die of heat exhaustion, then they should go West Coast. And that's if they manage to avoid a Hurricane/Tornado/Earthquake/Volcano/Godzilla. Heat exhaustion in San Francisco? Portland? Seattle? Vancouver? Get real.

    World XI

Got me thinking. Brad Friedel retired from the US squad after the 2002 World Cup-- a decade ago. I'd still take him ahead of Howard.
  11. Norwich, thanks sure it's not marvin martin (sochaux) ? No. Well, he's French so maybe that makes more sense.
  12. I think Pardew watched an Ajax game or something or other.
  13. Right, and Sabermetrics goes back to the 1980s and Bill James' Baseball Abtracts. These are not new ideas. Very useful in baseball, not so useful in the football.
  14. Third goal vs. WBA for me.
