Taylor showed once again yesterday that he is a liability. Commitment and being a 'local lad' are the only things i can see good about him. No wonder Cacapa, Roz and Faye look crap alongside him.

Has looked decent the few appearances he has made, but I really dont get why he's not getting a start, there *must* be a good reason. Whether its is attitude/in training or he isnt as good as we think, i dont know? He played for Spain U21 the other week, so i presume he is fit.

Yep, while Robson was deservedly gotten rid of (the football the season before was going downhill) the timing, and replacement began the real rot. We had a good squad then, who a good manager could have turned into a league/european contender. Instead we got Souness, and the rest is history.

Bartons passing yesterday was first class, I can see us making a profit on the lad tbh.

We lost to Reading when we weren't under pressure, and were lucky as hell against Fulham. I wouldn't take wins against either as nailed on given our total lack of heart. Yeah i agree 100%, we arent nailed on to win any games for the remainder of the season, our results so far this season show that.

Blackburn match will tell us a lot, but ultimately the Fulham and Reading games are our route to safety.

Havent read through this thread, but in short my analysis of the match: Started brightly, at least looking like we wanted to win, seemed to play decent going forward but the defence was an absolute joke once again. Taylor and Faye were like a pair of clowns, and Zoggy was asleep for their first. You cant make mistakes and gift a team like manure chances - we did, 5 times. Rough scoring: Given 5 Beye 5 Faye 4 Taylor 3 Zoggy 5 Milner 5 Butt 4 Barton 3 Duff 5 Smith 3 Owen 4 If we didnt already know it, Butt, Smith and Barton are shocking. Duff has no legs, but at least had a couple of decent chances - if he had took his chance at 2-1, it might have changed things, but he didnt.

Alan Smith has been nothing short of woeful. How many matches can you honestly say he has played well in? He is absolutely no threat what so ever, and never looks likely to score. I wonder what he does in training to earn his spot, although we aint exactly blessed with options now Viduka and Martins cant be arsed, and Shola is pure shite. Defo rather give Carroll a chance.

I agree there is a small minority, who believe anybody outside of Newcastle (eg Durham) cant be NUFC fans, but it is a minority. I have massive respect for any foreign person who takes on NUFC as THEIR club. We've won nowt, and dont look likely to win out. As you say, you see Manure/Chelsea shirts and pubs all ower the world now, such an easy choice for them, guarenteed glory. But, all the guys who pick NUFC are the true supporters.

NUFC 11-2 to win with Paddy Power, not too bad. Seems most people agree with Harper, Beye, Faye, Taylor, Enrique, Barton, Emre, N'Zogbia and Owen being in the starting line up. Will KK dare put Carroll in the starting line up, might be a decent shout tbh, he'll be up for it and put himself about, something Ameobi and Viduka rarely do. But, Carroll has far from shown he is premiership quality.
