Looking more and more likely that they don't want them going up and getting mullered every week in the PL. Getting rid of Mowbray was the first proper suggestion of it, ridiculous decision and something like 2 wins from 13 since he left. Happy days.

They just don't look like doing it though do they. Would say since Christmas it's felt like every week they could get right back in the mix, then bottle a result. I would also like to see them in the play offs.

It's a mini league for 6th and 7th spots now, hopefully we get Isak and Willock fit and have a good end to the season.

Effectively had seasons 20/21 and 21/22 off before his move to Stoke, no surprise he'd lost it. 5 goals in his last 46 PL games before his 3 in 45 for Stoke. No doubt somebody else will give him £10k a week though.

The state of the majority of those clubs old grounds were a quite a step down from SJP though tbf.

Do we really need a massive rebuild? Keep thinking if we had everyone fit, upgraded on Miggy and Burn, and a new striker, as well as Tonali back effectively as a new CM we'd be looking pretty sweet for next season. 3 signings. I'll trust those in charge, they've not made many/any mistakes so far.

£25m and I'd see it as good business, but the opposite at £10m.

For sure, but I could see the long term argument. Fwiw, I still don't think we are a million miles away from challenging, and don't believe we need to sell players. Keep the current squad more or less fit, and add 3 pieces of quality in the summer, along with Tonali.

And good luck finding better for £15m. I'd hate it to happen, but I could understand if we accepted £70m for Joelinton or £100m for Bruno, but this will hurt us more than we can gain from it.

How much is this asset worth fee wise? £10m? Will make little difference to FFP and we simply can't replace him for less. He's worth way more than that fee to us. Something else to this story than FFP I feel.

Doesn't make any sense to me this, unless Trippier wants away, which I would also doubt. A loan or fee isn't going to be sufficient enough to help out FFP efforts, and we'll be weaker for it. If Bayern were stupidly bidding over £30m I'd see why, but of course they aren't.
