Coventry City (a)

Hopefully get through with out the need for extra time and no fresh injuries.
3. Arsenal: need to replace Flamini and Gilberto with some experienced players, stop playing Eboue. As with last season they've a good starting XI but lack strength and depth Aston Villa: Improved well on last season. If they keep Barry/replace with some1 similar they have quality throughout their team. A good run in Europe could hamper them though as their squad isn't the biggest although is a lot stronger than last season. Blackburn: Done well to sign up Santa Cruz, will miss Bentley especially giving as they haven't replaced him as such yet. Lower than last season. Bolton: Hard graft will only get you so far and Bolton have no creative players in the slightest to change a game. Had two attacking full backs playing on the wings versus us says it all really. Depending on how well the new teams do could be drawn into another struggle. Chelsea: Stronger than last season apart from upfront, will battle for the title. Have that knack of winning when playing shit n all. Everton: Need to strengthen badly, their transfer policy so far has been comical. Still got a very strong starting XI. Fulham: Will be better than last season, have a lot of players that will create chances. Away form will be their killer heel once more. Expect to float outside the relegation zone Hull: Strengthened sensibly but still lack a proven goalscorer at this level. At least they're making a fist of it though thus far. Relegated. Liverpool: New signings, Keane aside, are no better than what they have. Rafa needs to pick a formation and stick with it. Still need a top drawer winger too to take the creative emphasis off Gerrard. Man City: Strengthened well and look very solid once more. If Jo fires & Elano plays for a full season they could be in for a good season. Man Utd: Still the best team going forward in the league but they are missing Ronaldo. Probably need another striker too but everyone said that last season. Will be between them and Chelsea for the title Middlesbrough: Solid but average, same old Boro. Portsmouth: Will James be as good as last season, probably not which will probably hamper them. Defoe and Crouch have the makings of a decent partnership but Krancjar aside their midfield is poor and they sold their best one, Muntari. Top 10. Stoke: As with Hull. Sunderland: New Boro with more volatile players. Keane has bought well to be fair to him. Tottenham: Bought good players in positions where they didn't necessarily need strengthening (keeper aside). Need to buy a CB,DM, new Berbatov to reach expectations at least. Will be equally as entertaining for the neutral as they were last season it lookslike. West Brom: Going down, defence was poor last season and doesn't seem much better this. Poorer mans Fulham they appear to be in the way they play. West Ham: Could struggle badly if they continue to sell and rely on injured on players however if they do get Dyer, Bellamy, Ashton playing as they can do regualrly will be midtable comfortably. Wigan: Same as the end of last season. Well organised and enough quality to stay stafe.

Andy Gray

Pompous twat and a poor mans Brian Moore.
5. Brilliant news about Michael Owen. Hopefully get some minutes under his belt and grab a goal and not get injured. Could be a decent shout on a last goal bet.
6. Interesting to see where Robinho plays for Chelsea Lampard - Essien - Deco Robinho Cole Drogba perhaps?
7. Looking forward to tomorrow, hopefully we'll kick on from last week. Reckon an early goal will be needed otherwise it could be a long afternoon.

Quick question.

Never understood why you pay more. Worst Atmosphere, worse view of the game (imo), worse facilities than other parts of the ground and no leg room at all. I like the view tbh although I sit on the halfway line, find it a lot easier to read/see whats going on and that than when i've sat behind the goal at an away match or whatnot.

Quick question.

Aye the inside of the East Stand is long due an upgrade, especially considering we pay more than the leazes and gallowgate.

Quick question.

The swipe card and turnstyle aren't connected which is the problem hence the person having to physically operate the turnstyle. Haven't seen anyone have bother with their card apart from the the first game of last season which was the first time they'd been used in our stand. Queues will probably be less depending on which turnstyle you go in but i go in the one at the top of Strawb Lane and its always a little bit of a wait, has been since they changed the stand.
11. what happened to milan? Didn't qualify for the CL, they still got Ronaldinho and Flamini though. Suprising if true, normally have to be at least 70 to get a game in Milan's defence.
12. No fucker else can afford the ridiculous wages they're on.

Quick question.

Exactamundo. If you're sitting lower down in the stand space will be at a premium on the bottom concourses and that n all, can't speak for upstairs.
14. same as last season although both will be harder games.

Quick question.

Tomorrow is liable to busy but normally is about a 5 mins queue to get in. In theory there is no point us having swipe cards as there is still someone who has to operate the turnstyle.
16. What about Garrido he's a leftback isn't he? Aye buts he's shit as is Ball as is Ben Haim when he plays there.
17. Corluka and Onuoha are RB's primarily. Would have a decent defence if they had anyone remotely capable of playing LB.
18. Not bad for a team with no money.
19. Aye, saves me a fair bit of £££ travelling up and down from Leeds for the matches. Can also get them in any station with a manned ticket office should you not want to do it online.
20. Makes a change from Van Nistelrooy to them I guess.
21. good good, less chance of him getting injured/missing games from travelling

England

Is it just the group winners that qualify or is it top 2/playoffs for second? Apart from the Croats, the group is fairly weak compared to others although there'll be a couple of tricky away games.
23. Still sticking by my: @ his agent though. Makes Willie Mackay look good.
24. Aye getting paid a boat load to play for your hometown team in the Champions League & be abored by the St. Petersburg public is really going to grate on him.
25. Arsene Wenger is becoming a strange mover in the transfer market like. Still can't believe you haven't replaced Flamini/Gilberto.
