The trouble with Martins is, the major flaws in his game are things that usually come naturally to players and aren't coached or taught. Bullshit, they can be coached and learned. Unless all footballers are born that way I'm talking about something that comes naturally to players over their development from a young age. Martins doesn't have the same intelligence as the likes of Owen or Berbatov, and he never will. He could spend every day of the next 5 years working with the best coaches on the planet - he won't suddenly grow a good footballing brain. 6 months!!! I though his injury wasnt that serious He is turning out to be another injury prone I hope that under Big Sam all this constant injury problems to stop. For the start of next season as LM we will have Zoggy,Pattison,O'Brien(still hasnt sign new contract and his contract is up in the summer),aslo Luque,Dyer,Milner and Emre(not his best position but still) can play at LM. So i dont think we'll need LM in the summer.

Neill would have got a lot more games at Liverpool than Sidwell will at Chelsea. Based on nothing more than your opinion. Based on Sidwell having 6 people ahead of him for 2 positions, Neill being able to play in 2 positions and fighting with one other for the right back role and Chelsea's history of signing young players, hardly ever playing them and setting back their careers. 3 positions, isn't it? Makelele & Ballack may yet leave too. Who knows wether Mourinho rates him above Mikel and Diarra, we'll see. ATM he has Essien,Lampard,Ballack,Mikel,Mackelele and even Diara ahead of him. Makelele is leaving this Summer, Balack has been pretty poor and Mikel hasnt been all that good so i think Sidwell will get more games than people think. He's at the bottom of the pile tbh. Not saying he won't play but when it comes to the crunch - he'll be a long way down the list. He might start 10 games if he's very lucky. Yea he's at the bottom but as someone has said African nations is next season so quite a few players will be leaving for a while. Sidwell will get the chance to win things and to play in the CHL so i can understand why he moved there. So can I! (see first post ) But it's barmy to sign for a club when you're only going to play in the month of January. Or whenever it is. The way i see it is, He has a chance to play for 1 of the biggest clubs in England if not the world and has the chance to win things, He's gonna be playing and training with worldclass players and gonna have a chance to play in Europe and on top of that he's gonna be on very good money also his family dont need to move. He wont play week in week out but has a chance to try and prove he can play at the highest level. Basically whats he got to lose? playing 1 game in 1 month will be perfect for his career If he aint happy after a year or so he can request a transfer. End of the day people are saying he's an idiot or whatever but all he has doing is trying prove he's good enough at the top, He's been given the chance and he's taken it, Fuck all wrong with that imo. How do you know? In Italy one of the most important things is the players to have adequate defensive tactical knowledge. Why do you think in the italian league the vast majority of the teams are playing defensive football.
