Cunts, if Arsenal fuck this up then they will cost me £300
-
In the current premiership, Joe Kinnear!

This. Cant see him improving anything, but that will work to his advantage because there will be even less than a minority that think different. He has been out of the game 4 years let alone managing in the top flight. I hold no ill feeling to the man and will back him completely whilst he is here but (like Souness) its a shocking state of affairs he even has this opportunity. Agree with both of you. Wish I had a spare 100m floating about. Good luck to him though. Nothing at all against the guy.

Think he did what he had to do, so I wouldn't have to forgive him.

Can't see us winning any matches in our current state. The players are dejected, fans pissed off and it would be beyond any caretaker to steer this ship.
-
Agreed, I don't buy it either.
-
I don't get the hump over England's delusion of grandeur Brummie, infact I was just about to start a similar thread about Scotland after the game today.
-
Fuck sakes. McManus sent off pen 2-1
-
Yes! Robson. 2-0 McFadden missed the pen first.
-
Would be disgusted if he was appointed manager.
-
Strachan would leave Celtic for a club where he isn't even allowed to sign his own players? No chance. Will have to be a rookie to work in this set-up.
-
The fact of the matter is if they carry on with this shite then we won't be getting this calibre of manager.
-
He's not the only one.
-
Any reasons given ? He thinks Xisco is shit.

Quote from: colinmk on September 04, 2008, 09:23:53 PM It's all very well talking about what flaws Keegan has but the fact of the matter is that he was brought to the club under false pretenses and was well within his rights to resign. The man has been used by this current board and that cannot be ignored and I for one don't want cunts like that in charge of the club. That's hardly me saying that he didn't have any idea about the structure. I'm going on direct quotes. He said he was aware that he would work with a director which turned out to be Wise. KK and Wise both said that KK was responsible for transfers and Wise would answer to KK. Ashley has also been quoted as saying that KK had the final say-so when it came to first team transfers. According to KK himself this turned out not to be the case and the board have now seemingly retracted from what they previously said too. I can see your point Indi about taking sides certainly but I have formed my opinion based on the sequence of events, quotes and contradictory statements from the board up to this point and unless KK has blatantly lied over and over again, including through the LMA I don't see how the blame can be put on his shoulders.
-
So is he going to answer to Dennis Wise and get given players he's never heard of? They will probably fill his head with shite at the interview and then come January he will be resigning too with plenty of facts being talked about. Happy days.

Can't say I have read every page of the thread but I haven't come across anyone saying this.

I have a feeling that had KK's transfer targets been of the right type (e.g. Modric rather than Beckham), the board would have made more serious efforts to pursue them. Reading between the lines, they weren't impressed with his suggestions, went their own way, and KK feeling under-mined, quit. in a nutshell, although this is just opinion like most of the stuff here. Do you actually think KK gave them that so called list? The man isn't tuned to the moon ffs. Why would he of thought they would join us at this point in time?

I'm sure he's got mouths to feed like everyone else.

Not many fans are complaining about the quality of the players that Wise has brought in. And although you comment on his inexperience, he's actually part of quite an experienced recruitment team, with Jiminiez and Vitere. Jeff Vitere's qualities are well known and also longstanding. Jiminez's experience as a mate of Matthew Harding who used to sponsor some Chelsea matches and became close to Wise is a bit more tenuous. I accept that he has a lot of connections but experience is more about what you know rather than who you know. He suggests the structure is wrong in that KK was answering to Wise and not the other way about.

So in reality Keegan had the opportunity to strengthen the entire first team with a player of James Milner's quality. He was also meant to compete with the likes of Aston Villa, Spurs and Portsmouth who have spent considerably more than 12m.
