  1. I'd disagree about Brazil, I think their system has been fucked for years.
  2. He was amazing around 2002ish when they absolutely destroyed Man Utd. Never the best in the world though, not even in that team.

Sturridge has to play for me like. He's our best striker.

When did you fall out of love with Big Sam? After he f***ed up here and since didn't kick on with his career. I think he would have done far better under FS like, and I also didn't think he would have taken us down, but in the time he was here, he was utter rank, everything about his spell. He has since proved he's basically only good at keeping a team up, anything else or beyond he just isn't capable of.

  6. Always my biggest bug bear when it comes to daft lists like this. THE greatest player ever was Beckenbaeur imo, yet hardly gets a look in against lesser players like Cruyff etc...always biased towards the attackers. Lahm has been one of the greats of the past 5/10 years yet never gets a nod at all. attacking pffff....for pansies. Case in point, Beckenbaur was a brilliant footballer...played in midfield, Lahm is a great footballer...moved to midfield. I think generally defenders aren't as good footballers because they're generally destroyers rather than creators. Beckenbauer started in midfield when he was young but his best years were when he was at the back... I wouldn't try and be so bold as to give a reason why that is like, but he did still play in midfield. What? He was the first real Libero. He played in defence and brought the ball out from the back for the majority of his career.

  10. Think having Vidal will be huge for them in the latter stages of the Champions League. Gives them something totally different to what they have.

He looks a very good prospect at the moment.
  12. I'm not a fan but I thought he was decent yesterday, more-so his passing seemed to be more positive than usual.

    Steve McClaren

Mitrovic was knackered way before that.
  14. This has been the most impressed I've been with Colback all season.
  15. I really think that the atmosphere makes a huge difference when we play teams like these. For whatever reason the fans are far more up for it, yet when we expect we should beat "apparent" lesser teams and we don't score immediately the atmosphere becomes tense and that translates to the players. I always look back to that Fulham game when we went down, the atmosphere should have been a cauldron yet typical Saturday 3pm and the crowd thought it was going to be piss easy so we didn't bother creating any form of an atmosphere.
  16. Well yeah man. Not like I understand a word of that bastardised Portugese.
  17. It wasn't on tele, wrong thread I guess.
  18. Currently watching Tim Vickery's documentary on that Brazil team from 1982. Outstanding stuff like. Disco get on it.
