The comments paint the harsh reality of what it means to be Crystal Palace: smaller than small-time, flittering microbes hanging onto the skin of the beast that is Premiership existence, and hoping the winds don't get stronger. Can't wait until they go back down and return to listening to their UK Garage CDs and letting people in for free at half-time.
I wonder why we keep going back to the French league for these kinds of players (HBA, Cabella, now him) if this is how football is played in France. The last 2 managers we've had clearly hate this concept, and I have no idea if McLaren is the same.
14/15 - stayed up by 3 points, won 6 against us.
13/14 - stayed up by 5 points, won 6 against us.
12/13 - stayed up by 3 points, won 4 against us.
Disgusting.
Aye it's amazing that it gets regurgitated. At best, Pardew lets 1 or 2 of his flair players do what they do. No more no less.
Keep it tight, bit of magic.
He's spouted his philosophy in public over and over again, people don't seem to latch on.
True, but he struggled massively at times. He probably deserved more of a chance to try and acclimatise to the league, but still don't understand why people are unwilling to recognise the failings of players during the Pardewic period.
I like.
