At least Harry Redknapp had the decency to talk up other clubs' players. Our fucking managers are used car salesmen.

That quote seals Carver for me. Worse or equally embedded into the regime as Pardew was. No sympathy anymore (as if there ever was). He needs to be added to the list of people we should be hounding out. Unforgivable quotes.

Someone should tweet these concerns to said journos.

They were by far the better, more 'fired up' side for most of the game, like. Means the square root of fuck all if there's nobody to put the ball in the net. Only first half, where they should've scored a couple. Majority of the second half they seemed to have given up. I think it's once again a case of the bedsheets being correct, "too little, too late, Lerner out."

We still looked shaky as fuck with long balls into the box. For two supposedly 'tall' defenders, we don't seem to win many headers, haven't for what seems like years. Colo's best defending is when he's on his ass, sliding around or blocking goalbound efforts.

My concern is our complete lack of creativity from the midfield. Janmaat leading the assists this season or close to it? Why the fuck do we keep starting with Ameobi and Obertan if they can't even fucking set up our strikers? Both Cisse and Perez would've got bags more if they had more support and someone with a brain playing them into the box.

Apologies. HATE. I HATE this guy. Thanks for correcting me.

Let's see: given the manager's job after licking incredible amounts of anus at his previous club, by being in position of power above actually accredited, more experienced coaches who were there. Not having a sense of how the modern game works, playing style in line with all the other dinosaur homogenous managers from yesteryear, and over-reliant on the 'hardman' routine that got old in the 1980s. I'm not a fan of Sherwood, clearly, and he may even go on to carve out a decent managerial career one day in the league, but to me he epitomizes the deeply-set malaise in English football where coaching is concerned. If the country itself is to improve, they need to hire or support their own managers who are more in tune with the modern game. Psh, something a f***ing Canadian would say. Don't you know that only Englishmen know anything about football? I am a Toronto FC fan as well so John Carver has literally never left my life

I really despise this guy. Makes me sad that the likes of Hatem and Marv were hounded out of this club while he is still here, starting fucking games.

Some of the things said about crap English managers by the commentators, man. "Sherwood, he's a straight talker... tells it like it is..."
-
Aye, this too. They were a handful at times for the Villa defence. It definitely kept them on their toes.
-
He's just a natural goal scorer if you can get some decent service. No one else attacks the penalty area like he does for us. So fuck if he doesn't do enough outside the box. I've always thought that part of his game has been criticised too much. It used to get criticized when Pardew had us lumping long balls at him from the defence. Now that we have Janmaat marauding down the flank and crossing in like a proper fullback, Cisse can just prowl the penalty box as is his strength.
-
Lovely guy to boot. As long as we keep getting balls into the box (and by that I mean Janmaat keeps putting balls into the box), he will continue to score.
-
Five years? Jesus. Not sure they'll let Williamson on the field with a zimmer frame. Much like the presence of Obertan, I've resigned myself to seeing the two CBs be everpresent at this club. How the fuck Obertan is still at the club, I have no idea. We need a concerted campaign to get him out before anyone else. ObertanOut.com.

Yep, thank god for Cisse and Janmaat. Colo also came in with some lion-esque defending, tbh, in the second half. If WilloCo have a decent game together every 5 games that's our CB partnership settled for the next few years (they will, of course, be out of the team when they decide to end their playing careers), guaranteeing our Premiership status and keeping Charnley's rectum lubed up.
-
Is this a joke? All I've seen is long balls lumped so far from Willo and the entire backline.
-
Carver's words have riled me up. Fuck these cunts! Come on you toon.
-
Not this again, pls, I've been trying to get away from that fucking dress.

Based on his admiration for John Carver.

Proper Pele vs Maradona stuff this

Don't. I, too, am a fan. The potential is there but not at this club, unfortunately. Abeid needs to start every single game from now on.
-
That midfield setup was criminal from kickoff. Why is he persisting with the Gouffran in midfield malarkey? How is he doing a single thing differently from Pardew, aside from the Cabella thing? Now that he's unavailable, he's back to Pardle formations, team selections and the same baffling subs.

I was just about to say...

The narcissism, arrogance, constant virtual pokes in people's eyes, I tend to agree as well I'm a Mourinho fan though, so maybe I'll eventually come around to Ronaldo as well. *shrug*
