  1. Whoa that’s crazy. Really love this kid.
  2. Ritchie clearly has some sort of a personal hatred for him now. A few times Miggy just threw his arms up in the air, asking WTF?
  3. In current squad yes, all-time nowhere near. Getting Ginger Jack on a free will always be the alltime great footballing scoops.
  4. Best player ever. I’m getting his shirt ♥️??
  5. Clear fouls on our players not given ?
  6. Let’s hope Rafa isn’t too afraid to drop him, Ritchie kicks off like he’s Zidane when he’s substituted, who knows how much of the dressing room he’ll trash when he finds out he’s dropped.
  7. Worst performance for us ever from him, I think I don’t hold the penalty miss against him as these things happen, but it’s how he’s totally on a lower level compared to Miggy who constantly begs him for a pass only to get ignored 9/10 times, and for Ritchie to deliver a crap cross.
  8. Yup. At the end of my tether now with Ritchie ignoring Miggy or not even understanding his runs.

    Ki Sung-gone

With Longstaff out, bumping this thread like it's an old-fashioned, swingin' Ki-party. Let's hope he steps up, like he did briefly before.
  10. The referee had 2 mins to check the incident, if he can't see the distance to speed in that time then he shouldn't be in the job. There's no point in var if it's not going to correct the clear and obvious errors, would rather see left it as it is. We're in agreement with the outcome, but you and I seem to be blaming two different things. I don't think it's the technology's fault here, and VAR, like all tech, can be used for good as well as bad. Clearly the incompetent refs are the issue. I'd say let VAR expose these frauds, over time this will FORCE the refs, FA and UEFA to improve.
  11. "Following the on-field review, the referee confirmed that the distance that the ball travelled was not short and the impact could therefore not be unexpected. The defender’s arm was not close to the body, which made the defender’s body bigger thus resulting in the ball being stopped from travelling in the direction of the goal. The referee, therefore, awarded a penalty kick." Not sure how you can blame VAR for this. This is about interpretation. It's like blaming your glasses for watching a volcano erupt.
  12. I hate Ashley as much as the next person but... what on earth are you on about? ? Almost every sentence you wrote defies every law of economics and upends the last 120+ years of history. Poverty is at a record low and is only going to get lower, technology has always, always made things cheaper: Adam Smith settled this debate ages ago, and has only been proved right every decade since. We can all hate Ashley without claiming the rapture is coming ? Relative poverty is on the increase in the UK as has been since 2009. Relative poverty might be on an upward trend in the UK, but global extreme poverty has plummeted to record low levels, and continues its shift downward. Unless another world war breaks out or we are plagued by disease or another recession, even the UK should be fine long term — oh I forgot about Brexit, so maybe not ?

    Fabian Schär

It wasn't just "beaten in the air thought." Rice ran rings around him before the corner was even taken, and Schar lost him, plain and simple. After he lost his man, it wasn't an issue about beating him in the air, it was essentially a free header. But all good, I love our defence so far. We just need to buckle up on set pieces.

Got schooled on that header by a kid. Rafa will show him the footage no doubt, and tell him to get his shit together on set pieces.
