QFT. Spot on, especially the last sentance. Most of you are just as critical of Oba, and that last sentence can be applied to him as well. There's never any fuckin' objectivity it seems when it comes to players. People need to relax and let the players come into their own. Second season for Oba. Owen finally playing in a team that provides him with chances. Let's just see what fuckin' happens.

Wow, never thought such praise would be showered upon us, in such an objective and honest report, too! Guess where it's from? http://www.glory-glory.co.uk/forums/thread/342108.aspx (Hi everyone) and yes I'm embarrassed! I haven't seen any report or official comment yet but fcuk me what a shower! As soon as I saw that Bent/Berba/Keane were all starting along with no recognised left back, I thought this was either very brave or very stoopid. I was in the South lower right next to the 'toon', and the embarassment comes from not only them outplaying us, but out-singing us. Those boys are fcuking mental. They just don't shut up..... Fair play to their them, their players and fans were up for it today. They were FIRST to every lose ball. WANTED it more than us and it showed. Points of note. Diego Maradona's thread on O'Hara I absolutely agree with 100%. The boy just isn't ready yet, and he's out of his depth at this moment in time. (Been thinking it for a few weeks now). And I'm not anti O'hara, he's from my neck of the woods afterall. but he's not cutting it yet. We played with NO width whatsoever. We didn't play to Bent strengths. No balls through the channels, Berba was too deep to be effective with Keane like he has been. Question Ramos: If it aint broke (Keane/Berba) why fix it???? No players come away with any credit today. Woodgate possibly, apart from that all the plaudits go to the fecking Toon Obafemi Martins caused us problems all afternoon. Created absolute havoc for Dawson. I didnt realise how short he is, looks like a giant on the TV, so why Dawson feels the need to push him in the back when challenging for a header (which leads to a goal) is beyond me. We could do a lot worse than him if we're looking for a pacy forward.... Nicky Butt played with a assurance that only comes with 10 major honors in the game. We had no one to match him in the midfield. Come to think of it, weaint got no one to match him in our entire squad. It's so fcuking typical of Spurs that we can put in a performance like the 5-1 and the 2-1 and then make Newcastle look like UEFA CL contenders... I haven't seen such an inept performance since..... Newcastle in October funnily enough! If we don't watch out they could be our new Chelsea. What is it now? 6 wins in a row against us? I expect some fcuking heads to roll from this zhit. -- Merovingian (some lad from France)

Much as I hate to admit it against those wankers, we won't win tomorrow. God we get some fuckwits on here like.

Yes, he wants to be on the Spurs bench but Keegan didn't agree with that. Been worried about this now. Maybe he was caught texting again during one of KK's talks? He's probably off in the summer if KK has already left him out completely for no reason.

Top 20 underperformers of the 2007/08 Premier League season
DJ_NUFC replied to LooneyToonArmy's topic in Football
Oba? Hope you're havin' a laugh. Do you think he is doing well? How can he be underperforming when he's shit anyway*? *I know this because people keep saying it. . I used to say the world was flat too when it was silly to suggest otherwise. Oh those round-globe punters, thank God I change my tune anytime someone is proved correct. -

You guys are haters. He always loved the toon, and had a soft spot for him, me. Of course, ability-wise he should've probably been shipped a long time ago. Good luck to him, will follow his career to the end.

Just imagine you went cinema, and some cunt sat next to you decides that he has to go for a hotdog three times during it, and five minutes before the climax of the film, he decides he's seen enough. But as he stands up, something exciting happens in the film, so he walks at a snails pace, gawping at the screen whilst obscuring the view of the people who aren't incontinent or have some blood-sugar problem where they can't stop filling their face for an hour and a half?

Sorry HTT, but... ... terrible.

Probably your best post ever.

I think people should be looking at the blossoming of Adebayour this season as an example of what can be done with a 'rough diamond.' Of course, why have patience, just slap a 'not the answer' tag and buy a superstar, right?

This thread's just as pathetic as the one calling for the man's resignation. Can we please not bounce from one extreme to the next please? Clear heads needed. Players need to step up, Owen missing sitters doesn't help, and starting with Zog and Martins on the bench is a laughable decision bound to draw criticism. Also, we were woefully unlucky, as most sides who're lacking confidence generally are. Fuck, we're in shit, stop finger-pointing and let's at least figure out how we can get out of it, and the only way we can get the boys playing well is by showing them support.
-
Some, like me would say we didn't, I think he'd have turned us around if given the support to bring the players in that he wanted, we'll never know. Even Arsenal and Man U go through transitional periods under Wenger and Ferguson, why should we have been any different? Bobby's failure was him being messed around by the those above him (Shepherd and the likes). He still had a good team, but we needed to progress and invest further in the side. Instead of getting who he wanted, FS made a bid for Rooney then sacked Robson. If the summer of 2004 hadn't of happened the way it did, Bobby would have turned it around. Thanks Johnny. It's incredible how many supporters choose to forget all the shit that happened that summer. Freddie's blurt in the media about it being Robson's last season WITHOUT TELLING ROBSON or the players made it possible for the players to treat the great man the way they did. Then there was the lack of investment on the back of the 4th spot sacrifice we made to Liverpool and we had a team that was stagnating. STAGNATING, not going down or 'backwards.' SBR was more than capable of turning it around had those above him given him the freedom and backing to do so, but immediately people were booing the team and doubting his capabilities because -- oh my -- we finished 5th. And hey, you know what, if you did indeed wanted to get rid of the great man, have a plan. A mother. fucking. plan.

Aye, I hate'em too, like. Brownies 'specially. All that hair, yahno... yuck. I do like curry, tho, we have the recipe, they can bugger off now. *Soz, terrible Atkinson impression there from the 80s*

I think some of you are missing the point. I remember watching that game and yes, it was dodgy as fuck, but under Souey and Roeder (until the run-up to his sacking) we had the uncanny ability to grind out results like these, especially at home. Under BS our 'impenetrable fortress' we used to be so proud of has become a shantytown leaking mud-hut. And it's a massive task now for KK to muster the players into some form of action, as I have no idea what they'd been told to do by Allardyce; whatever it was, it definitely wasn't to grind out results to win even if we play like shit.
-
The team we had out: Harper Taylor Onyewu Bramble Babayaro Solano Parker Butt Milner Dyer Martins Result: Newcastle 2 - 1 Liverpool. Reasons? Possible: - Attacking formation - Confidence (Roeder the *ahem* genius) - Nobby & Dyer - Parker? Butt? - Oba in form. Where have we gone wrong? On paper, we actually have a better defence. Of course, in the middle Nobby was never replaced, and neither was Dyer's pace (as useless as it was). So it's 100% down to midfield, organisation and confidence then, it seems. *Sigh.*

Do you think Arsene might be kicking himself a bit? Didn't Bentley ask to leave ... in fact from what I remember he pretty much demanded it! Besides is he really better than any of the players in their first team right now? better than Rosicky and Walcott who also play wide midfield roles Agreed. He's also a much more effective player than Hleb. kingdawson oblivious to football again. will ignore that blatently biased comment. or he hasnt watched arsenal this season. Rosicky i think is under rated by many people, he looks a lot better though when he comes inside. His passing and shooting is very much his strong point! i dont think anyone could say bentley is better than him! Hleb and Rosicky are both a class above Bentley.

Should None Season Ticket Holders Have Their Own Forum?
DJ_NUFC replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Same as he, but I reside in Canada. However, almost ashamed to post in here as it's one of the most childish threads ever created. By a grown man, too. -
And here I came thinking it was a tell-all from Belladonna.
-
Let's hope we can actually win some fuckin' games. Oh, and score some fuckin' goals. That goalless drought last year's still embarrassing. Come on Dichio! PS: I'm thinking of going just to get a glimpse of the only manager NUFC've ever had with a 100% win ratio. Masterstroke, tbh.

Bobby McMahon, here on Fox Sports World Canada, also said that Wise was appointed as a contingency for Keegan's exit as "Keegan is a flame that burns bright but burns out too quickly." He also went on to add that "this is the right time, right club for Wise, as it's definitely a step-up from Leeds." Gotto love our "pundits." I was seriously thinking of sending these fucks a link to the Times article. What a bunch of clueless nitwits.

Clearly talking Allardyce up to try and gain favour. Changing one's mind not allowed at Newcastle. Or on this board, for that matter. From henceforth, every word I type shall be set in stone. Please point out that I'm fickle shall I do otherwise.

I like the look of him, and we sorely need to keep a player in his position and obvious potential on our books. Loved how he blasted Cacapa in Spanish / broken English after that goal.
