That De Jong shot is still trickling towards goal.

Silence from the anti-foreign Richard Keys since our positive results.

brilliant

As I had work, I could only catch the second half. Could someone please tell me who our most advanced player was yesterday?
-
Holy crap, I had no idea his presence impacts us so much.

Watching this Premiership panel thing where fans around the world ring in, hosted by some lady, Leroy something and the former Tranmere manager, I forget his name. Leroy said we're going down. What a fucking cunt.
-
He really doesn't. He's usually either trying a very difficult attacking pass or is looking for runners into channels when we have nothing on. He certainly doesn't just lump it long back to the opposition. Because of this and the fact he's one of the few willing to take risks with his passing he will naturally give the ball away a lot more than our sideways and backwards merchants. Watch the last few games when he's not played well. I do think this is a symptom though of just him constantly looking for those attacking passes, as you've said, rather than Dummett-style lumping (that's not what I meant). I think maturity really needs to come his way, both for his temperament and overall play. Again, no complaints today. He even closed down and pressed higher up the pitch today to break up their absurd long balls.

O captain, my captain. We're a totally different team when he's there. It's incredible how crucial he is not only at the back, but our overall shape and confidence as a team. He owns that fucking backline.
-
My concern is that a lot of times he just lumps it directly to the other team. Especially when we have our backs to the wall, as a senior MFer, he needs to hold the ball and be a lot more calm and calculated. Edit: Still played some great balls out to Murphy today, though. And definitely one of his most improved games for us recently.

In running for the worst post of 2018 already

He seems to be totally lost in the attacking third I like him as a lad and player, but he needs to be told that the least he could do in those situations is head to the corner flag and just hold the fucking ball.

That was something else, please don't remind me of the time the laws of the universe were broken and there was a glitch in the matrix.

Just came in here to post exactly this. It's now getting to the point where I feel like a conspiracy theorist. How long has it been now since we were awarded a penalty? And almost all the shouts for them have been legitimate. Today even the commentator agreed it should've been given. Then you see how opposing players are treated for their absurd, violent challenges, whereas we don't even get the benefit of the doubt. The game is fucking bent.
-
Why the boos? FFS. Players did try but it’s clear we simply don’t have the quality to make anything happen at this level.
-
Why were the home fans booing him when he was being taken off? Is there some kind of shit rivalry between Palace and west ham?
-
It is, you are talking about teams turning over at the very least 100 million pounds, yet they are happy to leave someone like Britton who has zero prior experience managing their one product line, which has a massive penalty imposed if you fail. When you put it like that, it really does seem nuts. The footballing business is like none other.

geordiedean has an axe to grind as he keeps posting that same sentence in different threads. How come not a response from you, deano, about Pulis' record for WBA, which was worse, when you were going on about how he would be doing better than Rafa?
-
If we can get 1 or 2 seasons out of him, I'd be over the moon.

North East Loan Dawgz (NELD).

Had an argument at a local Non League game with another Newcastle fan last week because he wants Rafa sacked. I asked who he would like to see replace him and he replied with Tony Pulis. There are people like this out there. wow, just fucking wow As if Pulis could manage 1 point from 27 - 1 win in 13. Idiot. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/41870313
