1. A journalist getting it wrong well I never and he wasn't even that far off with his view on Gutierrez either.
2. Someone buy "Jimmymag" a f*cking season ticket...
3. Your gloating pisses me off "JimmyMag" shut up and support Chris Hughton you call yourself a supporter, well we can do without "supporters" like you. Only taking the piss out of your quite ridiculous dig at me earlier although it was rather amusing. Question those harming the club but support those who do good for our football club. But do tell me kind sir when I'm worthy again of supporting my local football club.............
4. Agree entirely. Steven Taylor in particular was outstanding defensively yesterday continuing on from him fine form he must wonder what he has to do to replace Coloccini must be quite demoralizing seeing such a consistently bad defender get picked ahead of you week in week out.
5. Well I thought he was surprisingly bad yesterday.......
6. Nonsense he has been consistently dreadful all season I've heard people continuously excuse him despite him costing our team what is a quite staggering amount of goals. Surely his performance against Liverpool still sticks in people's minds no...? that 1 v 5 lost was unbearable I've been disgusted by performances at St James Park before but never have I been more disgusted at such a gutless and dismal performance in a Black and White shirt before as Coloccini put in that day at fault for the 2nd goal, 3rd and for the 4th he should of been hurled off for alone. Quite staggering really the amount of goals he has cost us this season here just few off of that long list - - Stoke Home 1st goal at fault turned and out paced by Ricardo Fuller... Bolton Away at fault for the only goal failed to spot the danger and come across to defend the ball in left Gardner completely free... Sunderland Home 1st goal far to deep then decided to try and play Cisse offside clueless idiot... West Brom Home at fault for 1st goal pulled to pieces by Ismeal Miller... Everton Away failed to mark his zone on the areal ball to let Falliani free to score... Fulham Away at fault for the second goal his reckless lunging tackle on Johnson gave away a easily preventable penalty... West Ham Away 1st goal at fault completely lost Craig Bellamy run I'll let him off the 2nd although arguably his fault also.. Blackburn Home dreadful marking on Santa Cruz for the second headed goal... Hull City Home at fault second goal turned by Marlon bloody King... Manchester United Home at fault for 1st goal far too tight on Wayne Rooney... West Ham Away at fault for third goal cowardly turned his back on Di Michele shot... and that isn't even all of them.................. For me his performances away at Chelsea, Boro and Manchester United were possible his only decent or good (if your kind) performances all season and at £10 million that's not good enough. Quite rightly ousted from the Argentinian National Squad in recent months... Cannot stand the bloke..
7. I would of thought with a week and a half worth of training Beye will be in contention to start this one which at last gives us the opportunity to drop our weakest defender by far this season in Coloccini and reward Steven Taylor's fine form by moving him across to his favored position. I'd go... Harper S.Taylor Bassong Beye Enrique Nolan Butt Duff Gutierrez Owen Martins Subs - Ameobi, Lovenkrands, Geremi, Smith, R.Taylor, Coloccini, Krul.
8. Agree entirely i've been saying it for months although its not really a feasible option until productive wingers are brought and N'Zogbia and Milner are replaced with real quality. Looking back it's a shame Keegan couldn't stick it out I think we would of seen him really flourish in his 4-3-3 system.
9. Problem remains until the board appoint a long term manager that shows the players some kind of ambition then you can't expect any of the better players to commit themselves to the current project.... if you can even call it that. Until a ambitions long term appointment is made then I remain in fear that the club will lose its betters players Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins, Bassong ect ect,
10. Mirandinhaaa you should of seen her
11. He played quite a few games for the Spanish U21's before coming here did he not....?
12. This. I'd love to see Geremi be used until Nolan and Barton are fit, along side Guthrie we'd have a decent little midfield. From the snippets I saw and heard about last night it appears Geremi played well. Agree for me his passing and delivery is far better then the other options thought he did reasonable well last night.
13. Certainly something I would like to see; for me he hasn't the delivery to be a playing as a winger granted he gets himself into some good positions down the sides but his delivery is woeful everytime. I've seen him play on the side of a three for Argentina perhaps his best suited role its a position he could play here providing Owen, Viduka and Martins were all fit to play up top I think had Kevin Keegan not walked we would of seen this 4-3-3 system more. However I thought he had a terrific game last night and for now looks far more dangerous coming inside off of the Left wing then he does playing down the Right.
14. He's from the North East one of the better writers co-wrote Sir Bobby's recent 'My Kind Of Toon'.
15. Spot on entirely Coloccini fault continues to cost us goals and matches.
16. Agree. Also at fault again for the goal that ultimately cost us the match yesterday. Agree his inability to spot where the danger was and come across and actually defend the ball in has ended up costing us the match I keep thinking to myself he can't be this bad..... surely he can't. He continues to individually cost the team goals i've watched him cost us more goals then the rest of the defense has put tougher this season you simply can't keep picking a player who consistently puts in such poor standard performances what must the other players think seeing this clown get consistently picked.
17. Agree entirely. He has been dropped from the Argentina national squad for a reason his below standard performances since being here.
18. He has always been poor in the air and had poor feet decent shot stopper though. Draw would be a good result keeps more teams in it while giving us a less percentage chance of going down.
19. Agree continues to impress me however its evident Joe Kinnear doesn't rate him.
20. He had more to deal with defensively at either end if you include having a defender trying to get the ball of you/stop your advances as defending too which I do than either of Bassong or Colo had to contend with which was mostly pressing, clearing and getting tight to the ineffective, seriously weak Jo - Everton's very own Ameobi for the day. In his own defensive area Taylor made several key blocks from crosses and kept Baines at bay throughout by checking his runs and pushing him back with his own forward runs. When Fellaini came on Taylor was also tasked with competing with him in the air which he did to good effect. I also recall Taylor clearing 3 vital balls with his head, once stooping very low and nearly getting a boot to the face, inside the box assuming the role of centre-back. Where Bassong or Colo were I do not know, well I do with the latter, he was at left-back covering Enrique for some absurd reason which he does a lot - goes on these needless walkabouts that threaten our shape and leave holes in the box meaning someone has to fill in which if they do leaves holes elsewhere. Taylor was constantly brought over to the touchline when the ball was out of play for instruction which indicated at least tactically he had a big part to play today at both ends. Which he did and did well. He's not a better right-back than Beye and never will be but going forward he gives us something that Beye doesn't give us and as someone who personally believes that attack is the best form of defence, in that sense I'd rather see Taylor at RB than Beye which I'll get shot down for but there you go. Regarding Beye I'd put him in alongside Bassong and remove the just as likely liability as Taylor at CB that is Colo who for me is proving to be a bit of a flop. squint, and this post looks like a brick wall with graffiti Colo already seems to be one of the those defenders who'll never get the praise he deserves, very sad Praise he deserves? He's done nothing of any note to justify any kind of praise other than the very occasional OK performance which is the least you'd expect of a 10m player with his vast experience and so-called quality. By the way I've praised him whenever he's played well... sadly those games are too few. He's turning out to be a flop, not a Boumsong flop of course but a Bramble kind of flop. Someone with talent obviously who can have his moments but in general just isn't the answer. I'd get rid in the summer and look to recoup as much as possible because I don't think he has the right attributes for this league and more significantly for our team like ours. In a better side he would just about perhaps pass as good enough but here where he is required to be on his game constantly and called into making critical decisions, well, he doesn't fill me with any confidence whatsoever. He is what, 26 and is vastly experienced yet constantly goes walk-abouts which is a cardinal sin in terms of shape and positioning. f*** me, I saw Nolan at CB twice yesterday because Colo was out on the flank for no reason whatsoever as Enrique and Duff had things covered. That meant there was a gap in midfield and had Everton a man up in such a critical area of the pitch. Every game he does this and it loses us our shape in defence and elsewhere if others have to fill in. He doesn't know how to hold a line either, look at Bassong, he tries to play outside of the box which is the correct thing to do, why does Colo want to go into his own box? He plays people onside and several times both Harper and Bassong yesterday were urging him out, as was Taylor from out wide near the half-way line. These are pretty basic things. Stopped reading after that, he has some moments where he's caught out for a turn, or pace but he's never at any point been as poor as Bramble. Shocking thing to say about him really. I wasn't comparing the two as players, merely trying to establish what kind of flop he is turning out to be. You are right of course he hasn't had a total mare yet which Bramble quite often produced, but by the same token he hasn't had a stormer either which Bramble had a few of in his time here. Colo needs to up his game significantly and while I had hoped his form was down to adjusting to a new league, some of the basic errors he makes is shocking for a player of his repute, cost and above all else experience. He's being carried by Bassong. He put in a dreadful performance against Liverpool.
21. Agree he continues to impress me its a shame his "International" partner continues to put in performances of such poor standard. That's an over the top criticism of Colo. He's had a few shaky games, and even a shocker (Liverpool) but today his performance was more than adequate, I'd say he was pretty good. He did nowt wrong. It was yet another shaky one to add to that increasingly long list. His distribution above else was dreadful today not surprised in the slightest he has been dropped all together from the Argentinian national squad its a shame our current management hasn't the courage to do the same and oust him from the side. And do what? Stick Taylor in there? Maybe Edgar? I'd have England U21 and captain Steven Taylor there and have Ryan Taylor in what he says is his preferred position. Typing that out doesn't make him any better you know? I would much rather have Colo in there. Each to his own.
