  1. I don't think it would be wise for Joe Kinnear to risk Butt, Guthrie and Damien Duff in a 4-4-2 today with 3 games in 7 days over Chrismas coming up. I'd be tempted to go with the three up top today. Given Taylor Coloccini Beye Enrique Butt Geremi Gutierrez Viduka Owen Martins
  2. I will be down for this one. Given Taylor Coloccini Beye Enrique Barton Butt Gutierrez Duff Owen Martins Anyone know if were in our colours tomorrow?
  3. There were songs towards the end of the game the other night.
  4. "If I had a wish, it would be to carry on managing Newcastle for another thirty years" "A love that burns within and will never fade"
  5. Foolish aiming for 5th constitues the sack doesn't it.. On a serious note his words are totally unrealistic.
  6. Kinnear wouldn't use the subs so wisely his changes have been dreadful.
  7. Owen is not so good that he can't be left out. I think you will find his goal scoring record here would disagree with that.
  8. I'd have Michael Owen straight back in without question if he is fit. As much as it is great Shola has shown some sort of upturn in form he is not vital to the side and as pointed out he offers very little goal threat. It should be a priority now for Kinnear to get the firepower of Michael's 12 goals in his last 18 games and Oba's 4 goals in his last 6 games a string of games as a partnership and see how they go.
  9. Not sure why people are bothered by Redknapp's comments he hasn't a chance.

    Given

Great servant to the club. I would put him among the great premiership keepers there has been certainly in terms of consistency.

What rubbish I think if you asked West Brom's fans they would actually tell you how much problems he coursed them. Absolutely ran their back line ragged first half and scored the winner if you watch the last 20 minutes when Kinnear bizarrely took him off West Brom's back line moved up 15-20 yards and they played even more in our half and had their most dominant spell of the game dreadful tactical move taking him off.
  12. Agree. Dreadful use of the subs yet again this time not the lateness of the substitutes but those taken off and those brought on. I suspect something has gone on behind closed doors regards young N'Zogbia being totally frozen out of the side and not even been used off the bench since his man of the match display down at Everton. On Kinnear's part good job that second half didn't cost us.
  13. Couldn't agree more. However I think its likely if Beye is out that we will see the same back line that played against Everton with Cacapa returning.
  14. A great photo of the tackle top of the page - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/ Clean as a whistle.
  15. Agree thought he was quite outstanding last night.
  16. Not a chance he will be back in time for Sunderland most likely back for the mid-week game against West Brom I would expect.
  17. You would of thought Coloccini has had a great season so far with statements like that. Long term I do think he is a very good signing but there is no doubt in my mind he has found the transition between La Liga and the Premiership quite hard. I'm not saying he has performed well this season. No. I'm saying he is the best central defender (with Woodgate) we have had during the last 8 years. Do you disagree? No he has not shown anything so far to suggest he is of the standard of Woodgate's time here. Oh dear. You still hasn't got the point. No it was a rediculous comparison thats all considering he hasn't even put in a performance of a high standard yet. Don't get me wrong I think Coloccini long term after this transitional period will be a very good signing a important one in Steven Taylor's development providing they get given the chance to establish a partnership.

  19. You would of thought Coloccini has had a great season so far with statements like that. Well I personally believe that statement will turn out to be correct. Not that it is actually saying much. Based on?

  21. Its a blow but I wouldn't disagree with that.
  22. How depressing is that. I know what you mean, but once Jonas is fully fit and Barton returns from suspension that should no longer be the case. Because Gutierrez has proven delivery or Barton for that matter ? Surprised how low people rate Geremi; he provided the most amount of assists in the squad last season and is by far our best proven provider of goals among the squad.
