Burnley vs. Newcastle United - 26/11/18 @ 8:30pm (Sky Sports)
Gallowgate End replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
No sign of Shelvey and Dummett in the training photos. Muto and Lejeune among the group though And Lascelles was doing fitness work and joined the group at the end apparently. -
I hope Rafa plays the 3-5-2 that we ended the last match in if Dummett isn’t back rather than putting Manquillo in at LB. :'( Means we would get to keep Schar, Fernandez and Ki in the side while fitting Shelvey and Lascelles back in too. I think we will need Lascelles back in against Burnley regardless to deal with Wood and the long balls they chuck in. Watching Ki and Shelvey in a 3 having more licence to get forward would be interesting to see too. Certainly think 3-5-2 is a good plan B for us thought it played quite a big part in us seeing the Bournemouth match out

Just nearly scored for the Swiss from inside his own half

I thought our officials were bad I’ve just watched this French linesman get 3 offside calls wrong for 3 goals And we are only in the first 45 minutes of the match Thank god for VAR the sooner we get it in our league the better.
-
Mighty Manchester United have had 29% possession and 0 shots on target.. Whys the same men Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp not calling it a “Disgrace” and that they “Arn’t even trying to win”
-
Palace have had 22% possession and 0 shots on target I thought only Rafa has low possession vs the Top 6 sides I wonder if Skysports and Jamie Redknapp will bang on about Palace “Not trying to win” like they always do with Rafa probably not.
-
3 down after just 18 minutes and only 16% possession Find it funny how Skyports, Paul Merson and Jamie Redknapp like to make out only Rafa has low possession vs the Top 6
-
He didn’t have a black and white shirt on.

Mate, we say this every week. They're all s***. IIRC, we have particularly bad stats with him as ref in terms of cards etc. Nice of the FA to give us Marriner for the Brighton match after he let Hemed stamp on us and then get the winner the last time we played them just weeks after giving us a Red for a stamp You’d think after having to ban Hemed for the mistake Marriner made against us the FA wouldn’t have the cheek to give us Marriner again for the exact same match that he cost us in last season. Especially given our manager voiced the concern to the FA of his record against us ONLY a week or so ago. I wonder who the FA have lined up for the Southamton match probably Matt Le Tissier You just know it will be the human with the closest possible postcode to Southamton No wonder we haven’t played 11 vs 10 in this league since 2013 you just know that stat would be all over the press if it were Manchester United or one of the London club darlings! Rafa must think if I dare even mention it I’ll get another fine that is even more than you get for racism.

Yeah I'm certain it's one of us 3 for the last spot I think Crystal Palace could possibly drop below us after their/our next 10 fixtures they have a very hard next 10 fixtures and are still yet to even score a home goal. If Zaha misses any more than 10 games this season for them I reckon they’d go down given as they lose every match without him. But aye likely to be between us, Southamton, Fulham and maybe Palace for the last spot can’t see us staying cut drift with Cardiff and Huddersfield after the next 10 fixtures.

Michael Oliver and Clattenburg have never been allowed to Referee our matches just a different rule book for us as usual. Also Taylor has never given Man Utd a Red ever in the Premier League in over 20 matches and gave a very dodgy Red against Man City last season I wonder which side of Manchester he liked growing up his stats for Manchester United says it all.
-
Aye we haven’t put the ball in the box enough in 3 years to win just 1 single game via a goal from a penalty We haven’t had 11 vs 10 in any game in the Premier League since 2013 either must be because we haven’t had the ball since 2013 for the opposition to get sent off too.......
-
4th penalty at home in a row for Bournemouth this season when was the last time we won a match via a Penalty in this league 3 years? Our turn next week more chance it’ll be another few years haha

Never a pen. Just watched the highlights now, looked a pen to me. Tomkins tugged Joselu's forearm, it was only a slight tug, but enough to delay Hozza just enough to stop him thundering in a diving header. Robbed. The exact same Referee gave a penalty to Palace from a Zaha cross and tug in the box when we went down there last season make of that what you will.. Marriner still hasn’t given us a Premier League penalty and has given us the most Red cards of any Referee. He also refused to send Hemed off for stamping on our player down at Brighton last season just weeks after sending Shelvey off for a stamp Hemed then went on to score the winner then the FA banned him for the clear stamp. He also gave us one of the softest Reds I’ve ever seen us receive to Steven Taylor for jumping and winning a header. Marriner has a very suspicious past with us when you look into it. Also the fact we haven’t played 11 vs 10 in the Premier League since 2013 you have to start to question how it is even possible in this day and age when Red cards get thrown around like confetti you’d think it would be impossible for the last time to be 2013.

This will be another one to add to the list in a few years that Mike Ashley refused to pay the bare minimum AND lowest stock market price that they’ll ever be.. Just like Van Dijk at Groningen, Aubameyang at St Ettiene and Lacazette early on at Lyon. Those trio were all available for way under what they’ve gone on to be sold for years later compared to when Graham Carr first pinpointed them to the club. Over £200million combined those trio have gone on to be sold for including a £70million fee and 2 over £50million fees just years after we wouldn’t pay for them at the absolute fraction of the price... Just pathetic none of the £27million we got for Mitrovic went on him/that type of player especially at just €10 million.
-
Same Ref too. He also missed the Hamed stamp on us just a few weeks after and is also the Ref with the most Reds for us.. Allegedly a Villa fan too just to top it off.

My Swiss friend said Schar was talked about as the “Swiss Hummels” at Basel. Sounds very alike to Lejuene from what he said. Apparently loves spraying passes also said he’s very good in both boxes in the air but his weakness is quick players running at him also said he had a very good World Cup for them
-
Hopefully the Real Sociedad president has Willian Jose with him then a deal with Sociedad could be beneficial. I’d love to see him here he reminds me a lot of Diego Costa has the game to suit our league as a number 9.

Meanwhile at Spurs with a chairman that gives a actual f**k about club facilities http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5773095/Inside-Tottenhams-luxurious-new-player-accommodation-lodge-situated-training-ground.html Nice to see them get things added to a already great Training ground while we are still in a outdated nursing home of a training ground -
Had to be the same Ref who gave the Shelvey one just a few games ago to make it worse didn't it 3 Reds to us from Marriner in 6/7 games now Shelvey vs Spurs, Mitro vs Arsenal, Taylor vs City. When was the last time the opposition has even got a Red against us?

Rolando said he is the best footballer he has ever trained with in his Q&A thing earlier no surprise really.
