That is quite frankly poissibly the worst post I've ever read on this forum, and when I've finished what I've got to do I shall disect every last part of it.

For us? There's no comparison who was better for us though. No comparison at all. And if you are referring to their spells in charge of us, then I really don't know what to say. I think you will find there is. It makes me laugh people still view Kevin Keegan as some kind of untouchable figure who only ever did anything for our football club. Particularly after his disastrous second spell and his disgusting lack of loyalty in walking out on those who actually love the club. Kevin Keegan isn't a Geordie he won't ever be and he doesn't actually love our Club despite what people may like to think. Bobby Robson isn't a geordie either if we're being pedantic. And if you don't think Keegan loves our club then there is seriously something wrong with you. There really isn't a comparison at all with what Keegan done and Robson. I'm not knocking SBR at all as he done a fantastic job for us, but what Keegan done was on another level. Whilst I've argued for KK having done more for the club that SBR, I actually think the KK loving the club line is a slight fallacy (but not untrue). SBR was treated disgracefully by the club, but despite dying of cancer he still makes as many home games as he can. That's love. Keegan is incredibly passionate, but when did he ever turn up at SJP in a non official role? Last time Keegan was at SJP was when he was getting paid for it.

Very good post there Yorkie, although Owen and Martins ahead of Shearer and Bellamy. Somehow I don't think so, on both individual levels and as a partnership Shearer and Bellamy are better during their respective spells. Agree.
-
I've said it all season and I agree completely. I think it would help Gutierrez get into better positions higher up the pitch also Geremi's best deliveries are normally from deep. Edgar shouldn't be anywhere near the team in position or out of position simply not good enough nor should Taylor be playing right back for different reasons.

For who? Barcelona or Man U I would agree. If you are talking about us then which alternatives would you suggest? Duff? N'Zogbia? No your right there isn't an alternative at the moment its one of the main positions I think the club should be buying for. However I think the clubs mangement see Gutierrez as a good enough right-winger also I am sure most supporters would say Gutierrez has been one of our best players this season. -

For the record I don't not rate Gutierrez he could a very good player given the right role but he won't ever be productive enough or have a good enough delivery from wide positions to be playing as a Winger(a main provider) in my opinion. -

How did he come good? One of the most overrated players we've had. I mean overrated as in a sense how the fans praise him for his time here due to this cult hero status he gained. Sounds rather like Gutierrez. Sibierski was a bad footballer but scored goals. Jonas is an excellent footballer but doesn't score goals. Problem is he can't deliver them either. Not that old chestnut. He's set up at least a couple in recent weeks (Martins vs Villa, Owen vs Portsmouth). Watch his assists there passes not deliveries from wide. He has some fantastic attributes but they are not of a productive winger. Maybe he's just unconventional. Maybe if we tried playing players to their strengths. Jonas is never gonna be a great crosser of the ball, but he can pick out a cutting pass. Maybe if we had a decent balance - a decent right winger who can make up for Jonas' unorthodox approach - and maybe, just generally, if we had a manager who had a fucking clue - we'd see the best of the likes of Gutierrez. Call it clutching at straws if you like, but i've not seen anyone play for us who is quite like Jonas. I think he'd slip into a top 4 team with no problem tbh. Maybe if he had a clever forward like Anelka or Torres he would be able to slip them in with some clever passes rather than wing over high crosses hoping Andy Carroll gets a header on target. Michael Owen there isn't many better in the league in terms of final movement. Gutierrez doesn't even look to deliver and for me from what I've seen doesn't have a particularly creative pass in him. I don't hold it against him if he decides to go inside and thread a killer pass in for someone to run onto. Wingers don't have to cross, but they do have to create. Our lot don't pose as much of an aerial threat nowadays anyway to be honest. Correct and Gutierrez hasn't set up near enough chances or goals. But Ginola didn't create or score half as many goals as Laurent Robert did but he is remember with more affection. -

He played on the right hand side predominantly against Spurs in the 4-1 and was superb. Tore O'Hara to pieces that day. It was against Tottenham mind. -
He has always looked a very good foil for Michael Owen in past England games and at £3.5 million extraordinarily cheap, surprised were not in for him to be honest. So you seriously think he would come here with Owen on his way out, us showing zero ambition and on the verge of relegation? As opposed to Villa, riding high in the table, all sweet and fine with the manager and owner and fans all clappy happy? Can I have some of your happy pills? No I think your right if it was a straight choice between the clubs Martin O'Neil being the biggest factor I would of thought. However at £3.5 million it wouldn't of been too difficult to have been the front runners if we were prepared to pay higher then everyone else.

It wasn't that long ago Germany wouldn't have any Black players in their squad they seem to have adopted a much more multi-ethnic attitude in recent years in regards to the picking of their squad good to see though not sure race and nationality has ever been so healthy in football.
-
Agree. I always get quite surprised at the rave reviews Gutierrez gets for me he hasn't a clue how to deliver a ball from wide nor does he look to get his body in shape to deliver the ball nearly enough and his goals return is dreadful, he simply isn't productive enough to be playing as a Winger long term in my opinion. However there are some very good parts to his game like his stamina, acceleration and for a tall player he has wonderful feet also his short passing is better then his long passes for me, I'd like to see him given a role as a forward runner from the centre of midfield when a natural Right-Winger is brought.
-
Agree. Every manager from Souness and to now Joe Kinnear has blamed their own failures onto the squad this must stop none of them can honestly say they have got the best out of the players at this football club. This club will only get back to 3rd, 4th and 5th and consistent European football when they have replaced the man that got it as of yet none of them have come up to that standard Kevin Keegan included.
-
From the Gallowgate End since a long time don't get to enough Away games appears to be getting decreasingly less.
-
Nobody really knows whats gone on so its slightly unfair to be calling either of them "Cunts" certainly given as the main source of information is from The Sun ect. I was going to say I am sure if it was that serious Joe Kinnear would have disciplined them both financially but I wouldn't be that confident of him setting any disciplinary standards himself. But still it could be worse Sir Bobby could be in charge then imagine what a mess the dressing room would be in.

Has he a history of it? Debateable. Also he did lose control over transfers but still wanted to soldier on for the club he loved.... SBR was 10 times the manager Keegan was, antoher reason why i dont understadn the messiah like status afforded to Keegan. Bollox, if sbr was 10x the manager Keegan was, how come he had a lower win %,....see my sig,... Kevin Keegan Bobby Robson was a far superior manager he won 10 major trophies including the European Cup Winners' Cup, Uefa Cup, FA Cup ect he took England to the furthest they have been in a World Cup abroad ever and is the most successful Englishmen to manage abroad winning trophies in 3 different leagues Spain, Holland and Portugal. Keegan won absolutely nothing. To be fair he did win 2 division one titles, and 1 division 2 title, dont take that away from him. Yeah better count that for him.
