Cheers for posting Crumps.

One small consolation I agree.

Valencia-esque. What a word that is.

I'm genuinely delighted about that decision by SKY. Two teams who have something to fight for rather than two w*** london clubs who pretty much know where they'll finish (2nd-3rd and boring lower mid table). I'd f***ing hate to watch Spurs Chelsea. For the neutral I'd have thought it would be a more attractive proposition? Of course personally I love seeing Everton on TV so much.... but for the netural, games such as Blackburn Everton, Everton West Brom, Pompey Everton... they're not really that appealing. Tottenham and Chelsea are on TV all the time. I don't watch Chelsea regularly, but I've seen near enough every Spurs TV game this season due to the missus's affiliation, and they're boring as fuck. Pompey Everton will have 10x the passion Spurs Chelsea will.

[first sentance] We'd all take relegation if it meant getting in a brilliant owner who could afford to put in more money than Ashley, understood football more than him and could spot a top manager (and if we got promoted the next season). I don't think that's how relegation works though.

Two words - Leeds United, it could happen to us. For starters that isn't two words.

Only takes one injury for Kadar as well (jose) - can see him getting a run at some point once he's back.

Yeah, just deleted my post, must have misread part of it last time. I also thought WHam ended 17th. Stand corrected.

I'll be ensuring I don't watch a single second of the Chelsea/Liverpool tie. Those two have stolen enough of my life as it is.

Beye is absolutely crucial to our defence, much more so than anyone else. It's clear that he runs the show at the back. Should be captain imo, and goes without saying that he should start every game he's available for in his preferred position.
-
He's played little, done less than nowt, and we "can't judge" ? ? Oh yes we bloody can. It's pretty obvious he meant we can't judge his footballing ability. His time with us so far has clearly been an unmitigated disaster, but I don't think any of that is down to whether or not he's any good. Two 20 minute spells off the bench at home to hull and at west ham iirc.

High praise indeed. Parky will not be happy.

What a ridiculous question.

I reckon Silva would be more important to your team / squad. Could do with a class wide player, Torres seems to do OK up on his own with Stevie supporting.
-
Completely agree.

Fwiw I've always said that goal against Chelsea was the last bit of the 'real' Shearer we saw. What a goal though. Even Shola banged in a decent one that day.
-
Are you kidding? You bring up that time more than anyone else, and I haven't seen anyone claim he was our player of the season in 04-05.
-
If you compare their form this season whilst at centre back, colo has been far better. Interesting how the best defensive performances of the season (aroudn the time of the 0-0s at Boro and Chelsea) came with a back 4 without Steven Taylor in it.
-
Not many players will turn down Man City tbh. It even took Kaka an age to make up his mind.

Butt scored two in a friendly against Villareal once. He looked as surprised as anyone. I can work out why he doesn't go up for them. He hit the bar with one at Arsenal, and against Hull. That's more than most of our lot manage Didn't see the Hull one tbf, although I do remember Arsenal now you mention it - it was pretty much all we had to cheer that day. His direction of headers is reasonable, but he's pretty poor at getting on the end of them.
-
Those two wins will have made him unsackable for the fans. They would have been pissed off as it was if he'd left, after those two this will be some excellent PR for gillette and hickey.
