    The loan system

That's more like it.....see my above post. If top clubs know they can loan out anyone they get, meaning they'll be getting first team football even if they're never going to be good enough for the team that own them they might as well just snap anyone and everyone up. Spread the wealth or the rich get richer?

    Berbatov

They would have got half the quality as well. In what area though? We haven't seen Berbatov use his link play at Man United, which is his main strength. RSC is a pure goal scorer, while he offers little outside that, bar decent hold up play he will get you goals. I would like to see how many Santa Cruz would have in that United team. Is he s****. Alan Shearer was a pure goalscorer. RSC's record isn't even that good over his career. Oh silly fucking me he's only got 23 in 55 for Blackburn. He had one good season for Blackburn.

    The loan system

Surely it means it's increasingly hard for smaller clubs to pick up talented young players?

    The loan system

The loan system works well as it does now and have for ages. Nowt wrong with it. End of discussion. You must be a ball to hang out with.

I don't know if you've noticed, but they're fucking shit too. Don't be blinded by a good result against an awful away middlesboro team. Very winnable, although I wouldn't have considered us favourites.

    The loan system

Alright, I was pretty fecked off (bitter) about Manucho scoring that late winner last night, but it got me thinking - should the loan system be allowed? Is it morally right? Under which circumstances is it and isn't is acceptable? Discuss.

    Rio Ferdinand

Ferdinand is one of the few defenders I've ever seen who is a joy to watch. Superb.
  8. I don't know why you've stuck the second part in given that Oba/Owen has looked the best pair up front in a 442 for us this season. Agree with the first sentance mind.
  9. I was joking anyway. They'll fucking wreck us regardless
  10. If the results stay as they are then Manu don't need the points as much....
  11. I'd have him on the left, but so he was up against Ronaldo and helping defend rather than attacking O'Shea.

Shadrack... I PM'd him something similar... that might not be 'appropriate' on a public forum...
  13. If you were a neutral you might have enjoyed their game at SJP this season
  14. The defence just isn't the same without Habib. He marshalls them, looks after a number of their mistakes and generally runs the unit. He's a huge miss.
  15. That's more or less what he paid for the club, plus what he's sunk in since in the form of interest-free loans. Loans, fair enough. But I bought lunch for a fiver today, I wouldn't claim the pie and chips now owe me that much. No because the pie and chips assumed the debt (hunger) your stomach was carrying, so the net of ... you know what, that analogy is shocking and there's no saving it. Hey, it takes some real skill to come up with an analogy that bad. I'd like to see you better it.

  17. It's certainly got the ability. Has it got the skill and technique? That's the million dollar question.
  18. Haha, yeah sorry about that. It's the threads per page ratio which has been reset after yesterday. You should have left it as it was. My birthday thread made a second page until it got reset
  19. Does anyone know what his previous red card was for?
  20. I'd agree. Rooney would destroy them with that amount of space to operate. Who would you take off? Would have to be Berbatov I guess, but the team seems to be working almost perfectly as it is.
  21. He recruits players. So it's his fault Keegan walked and we ended up in complete and utter turmoil? That'll be why people want him out then. See what I mean? No I fully understand why people want him out, I'm just saying he won't be sacked and he does a good job. How do you know he does a good job when you don't even know what it is? We know he recruits players, other wise his job title wouldn't be Executive Director (Football) - Recruitment or something to that effect I remember reaing it when he signed and thinking thats a bloody weird job title. I'll find a link later when I have enough time. I was under the impression it was his job to recruit young talent. However in January Kinnear then stated he'd need to speak to Wise about his first team signings. Aye, they basically lied. I trust the Sun more than I do statements on nufc.co.uk now. Maybe his role's changed, or evolved. Who knows? I can't say that the precise nature of Dennis Wise's job description strikes me as one of the club's major issues right now, though. I think in the context of us getting in a manager better than Joe Kinnear it's extremely relevant. Like it or not, other managers will not look on the Keegan affair favourably and would seek clarity on the matter if approached. Well, just because we haven't seen his job description doesn't mean a potential manager won't get to discuss it. They'll get to discuss it but I doubt it will change, I honestly when Redknapp came for the interview that was the only reason he didn't take it and, if it wasn't for that we'd have wobbly face as manager now. Even though Redknapp was never actually offered the job? Well he definately had an interview, Keegan knew of the DOF plan when he took over, I'm sure they would have said this to redknapp and he basically would have said he wanted to work of his own accord, like he is at Spurs now. The reason Redknapp never took the job is because he was never actually offered it. That isn't what he says. Problem is, with two prolific self publicists (read: liars) contradicting one another, it's hard to tell where the actual truth is.
  22. You don't think the club should fine him for needlessly getting himself sent off to the detriment of the team in that and the next three games? Not really, have a word by all means... but he's had his punishment. We need to be building a siege mentality for the relegation battle, not piling further pain on our own players. He knows he's done wrong anyway, it wouldn't achieve anything. Fair enough. I don't know about a fine, but something needs to be done. It was a mindless challenge (although I don't believe he was trying to hurt Anichebe) and it's cost the team dearly. He needs to apologise to the fans at the very least (I realise he may well have already done this and I've missed it).
