Good shout. Svennis with two flops on his hands. Bit unfair to put Jo on Sven. Not sure how much he actually had to do with it, and he came in after Svennal left.

same for scholes imo... wonder how mclaren gets on when he eventually gets back from holland...looks to be doing OK there at the moment, maybe something to be said for going abroad for a different perspective? I'm not sure I agree about Scholes - he's always come across as quite fiery on the pitch, something of a leader, and it isn't always the big talkers who command respect. Could well be wrong, I just reckon he's got something about him.
-
I don't know if he'd ever go into it, but I reckon Scholes might have the ability to do well. I also think Shearer could do well, but he's such a big name that his first job (almost certainly with us) will make or break him. Foreign players who come here are instantly giving themselves more of a chance - learning other cultures, languages and styles can only be beneficial to a prospective manager. To that end Michael Owen could potentially do a good job, but I'm not sure he's got a forceful enough personality.

Scored vital goals for both to be fair. Also went for a profit from both clubs.
-
Marlon King at £5m was a lot for Wigan too.
-
Not massive money in the greater scheme of things, but Dave Kitson as a record signing at about £6m hasn't scored for Stoke yet. Utaka (£7m) has been very poor at Pompey too.

We'd all love it to happen. Pretty unlikely, but they're a long way from safe. Defoe out is a huge blow, before it happened I would have said he was the key to their survival.
-
He also 1) Said Eboue got sent off 20 mins into the game 2) Arsenal should have won 3) Eboue's first yellow was harsh, despite him getting warned 3 times 4) Their goal should have stood Utter Cunt. Arsenal's goal should have stood tbf. Don't think they should have won mind, a draw seemed fair to me.

Can anyone explain how he never ended up on Newcastle's books, surely your scouts keep an eye on Wallsend Boys club Pretty sure he was on the books but couldn't see any route to the first team when the reserve team was withdrawn, so went to Wham. Not sure how old he was.

you deserve to lose if you take odds of 1/5. Why's that? Sounds like a pretty f***ing stupid comment. I agree 1/5 are pointless. Its like putting £100 on Chelsea to make £128 lol. Nope, it's putting a bet on all the matches that are being played whilst I'm in the pub. Seemed like the most likely outcome in that match, expected to have lost it elsewhere at some point.

Thanks for that, you're spot on. Disagree with you Kingdawson. Defoe - Keane partnership is proven to be not productive. O'hara is not a definite first team starter. There is no guarantee at all Harry will play him if he is fit. Hutton has been poor. That's why Spurs went on to buy Corluka and Chimbonda. I've been impressed with what I've seen of Hutton (only decent Spurs player in the 1-4 for starters) he's just been out injured a lot. Defoe/Keane would have been the starting partnership up top without a doubt if Defoe had been fit. Having watched that, whilst the sending off was the right decision (however Dean arrived at it) I think the ref seemed to be leaning towards Spurs a lot more. They got the vast majority of decisions imo.

Lay it on betfair, guarantee some money for when they lose.

I got every result from City and the 3pms right on my acco, apart from 1/5 Chelsea. 127-1 shot, cheers you cunts.

Happens all the time (people believing these rumours). We believe what suits us. Only if its a negative these days Of course. -

I wouldn't say he is, at least not 'by far'. However he is probably is our most influential player when he's on form, simply because of his pace. I'd say he was our most important player at the moment.
-
Pretty sure that got a brief airing at Pompey when he nearly scored in the first half.
-
Pretty sure he meant for England, Pedro clearly had a good goal record at club level. Something like 9 in 50 for England though. I thought Shearer did get 1 in 2 for us? 206 in about 405 wasn't it?

Cracking idea. Wouldn't happen if the ground was full, obviously, but that doesn't detract from it being a great gesture - they could easily have made it £49 and everyone would have been impressed. £1 a game for the season is superb.

The same reason Linekar scored so many. Awesome team player.
