Just got back, loud as fuck in the second half today, absolutely hammered them in the second half after being awful in the first. Should have won. Barton was head and shoulders above the rest today imo, Beye and Colo were decent. Jonas was wank in the first half but excellent for what he played in the second, Duff should have been the man off.

Reputations deserve to go before people, but they should only take in to account what has happened on the pitch imo. Regular divers who start not getting free-kicks when they're fouled deserve what they're getting, as do filthy players who start attracting unfair yellows. Has Barton ever really done anything out of order on the pitch though? I can't think of anything off the top of my head, never thought of him as a particularly dirty player when at City.

Better than the american owners at liverpool who've qualified for the CL every year? I hope they're better too, but I'd be surprised.... You would really be happy with owners like Hicks/Gillett and the Glazers? For me going to a successful club, saddling it with hundreds of millions of debt while it continues to be successful isn't an achievement. A Lerner would be good though. I'd take it if it was secured against almost guaranteed CL qualification and a successful club, i.e. not really a problem.
