Hehehe I've never read so much rubbish in one post as this even your best line "Nzogbia has a better eye for goal" is not quit correct either..N'Zogbia has GREAT eye for goal compared to Milner... Madras has says fuck all wrong. He's slow, but he beats his man frequently. His crossing is erratic, just like N'Zogbia's. He can play well on either side. 'N'Zogbia has a better eye for goal', i think is the only thing i'd disagree with. More preditory instinct in the box, maybe. See the Derby game for N'Zogbia's so called 'great eye for goal'. Milner does defend better from the wing position. On the other hand, Zog's pace and ability to drive with the ball stretches the game more, scares opponents and generally increases our likelihood of scoring. An in-form Zog would offer more than an in form Milner, imo, mainly because of this reason, whether or not he directly contributes more than Jimmy does.

He's a front player, end of really. Why hameobi has played up front in Vidukas absence, with Smith in the squad, is an absolute mystery to me. Decisions like that would make me lost faith in Allardyce, and I wanted him for the job. Diabolical. Yeah, just he's handy in an emergency like. Suppose you could argue that we had nobody else to play in midfield recently, which is why Smith was used there. I'd have tried Milner through the middle myself. I'm trying to be positive about Milner. He's a good lad with a great attitude, but he lacks pace. So I say to myself that Beckham also lacked pace, as did Nobby, but was so good at crossing and seeing things quickly they overcame it and became quality players, so I hope that Milner can also do it. In truth though, I don't think he will be but I hope that I am wrong. Pretty much how I feel about Milner as well.

If Cesc Fabregas had scored the goal that Nicky Butt did yesterday it would be bummed into next year.

How did that one go then mate?

Souness.

Just got home. Thought we were ok at best, they impressed me a lot. Traore, Song, Denilson and especilly Diarra looked fucking quality. They outpassed us in midfield, and the sheer pace of Eboue and Walcott on the wings meant we were always stretched. For us I would have said Enrique, Taylor and Martins had decent games. Apart from the shocking miss Oba looked strong, threatening and worked pretty hard. Shola was gash, Roz was weak in the air and Smith couldn't find a black and white shirt. Beye and Faye were both OK without doing too much, and bringing Emre on made a difference imo. They deserved the win.

Doesn't concern me as much as similar news would have last year. I'd like him to stay fit, obviously, but I'm not too worried about Faye or Taylor filling in.

That's a flawed comparison. Maybe if you look at our potential for support and theirs, and take the percentage used it'd be more accurate. Blackburn is a small town, and has Wigan, Manchester, Burnley, Bolton and Preston nearby. They've just got a stadium that's a bit too big, and the attendance wouldn't have been too bad if Pompey had taken more than 500. Fair points. Still shit though. Yeah, it's not great but it's pretty unfair just to judge them just on the numbers. Stats don't tell the wholse story here.

He's been shit in every game.

Wigan got 16,900 in their last home game
-
Leeds have one of the biggest fanbases in the country, and a far bigger city than Blackburn.
-
It's a small town, and Pompey took fewer than 500.

Did he fuck. He said it shouldn't be a peno, aye, but he still clearly tried to score it. I thought he did score it?

We may have been shite tonight, but I still can't believe anyone wouldn't vote for Pattison. He may not be the one you hate the most, but he's the worst by a fucking mile.

Ryan Babel left, Yossi Benayoun right - two quality wide players. Good enough to win you the league?

It might be the classic Jenas thing. Went away on England duty, found out how much some people were earning, and decided he wanted that as well.

Just feel like making it known? I can imagine the thought process: "This may not be the right thread, but the people need to know!" That was probably the logic. I can't remember much of last night That's the problem with early kick-offs: Fucked by ten past seven!

We made our money back on him. Hardly 'expensive' even if he was shit.

Haven't seen tonights highlights, but Berb seems to have amassed an incredible reputation off the back of 1/2-2/3 of a season. Started slowly last year, ended very well - players such as Marcus Stewart and Kevin Phillips managed one class season at the top (scoring more than Berb did) and were still not very good. I'm not for one minute saying I don't rate Dracula, but I think he may be a bit overrated at the moment.

For the XI? More of an expensive flop than Rebrov, Grabbi, Marlet, Balaban and Shevchenko? If you can be arsed can you post how many goals they have scored at the clubs they flopped at. Just going off wiki as can't be arsed to look properly but.. Rebrov 10 in 60. Not as bad as I thought, but as an £11m record signing that's still wank. Pretty sure he left for nothing as well. Marlet: 11 in 54. Exactly the same comments as for Rebrov, but this one cost £12m Grabbi: 2 in 30 £7.5m iirc. Balaban: Never started, never scored. £5.8m Shev 4 in 30 - doesn't sound right though. Everyone knows about how well he's done at Chelsea though, a snip at £30m. Cort's 7 in 22 and "only" a £5m loss looks like good business in comparison! Please note all these figures are from wiki, so don't try and bollock me if they're wrong.

In fairness I had spent ages working out the team, realised I didn't have a LB and knew that he was expensive and had left for a loss after a year. I notice no other fucker has attempted a team!
-
It's not the best thought out list. Marcelino a worse signing than Balaban despite costing less and playing more games?
-
In what way is that a great result? So we can be above them after 5 games? I'd rather Chelsea had battered them 5-0, we're not going to be anywhere near them come May. Blackburn, on the other hand....
