Not gonna be after him but i see someone like Seko Fofana quite perfect as a replacement, especially if we can offer creativity from wide too. Full of energy and great ball carrying ability. Technical ability but also offers end product combined with pace and physicality. Let Bruno be the one dictating play and tempo.

Works very hard but too slow in his actions imo and not very good technically. Love him to bits but he's our weakest link now and hopefully we can get a CM in this window. Nice option to have in the squad. Some might say it sounds harsh, and probably does. It's what it is imo. As said, like him.

I’d drop Longstaff.

Don’t be stupid. Few and far between that expect too much.

Both a CM and wide player need and should get done.

Most likely Arsenal going by that tweet aye..

Regarding the opinion of going out on loan or not. It doesn’t matter if he’s better than Murphy. He has to go on loan to play as regularly as possible. He won’t be a starting key player for us from the off. Needs games to develop properly.
-
Well, even IF he was to play out wide it won’t help us when Wilson is out. Then we already are a “winger” down because Isak plays as a CF. Plus ASM can’t be relied upon. We simply need a wide forward player and have done so for a while.

Andrey Santos is 18+ and Fresneda is Spanish and will cost about 30m counting add ons. Most likely 10-20 up front.
-
They can’t move until they are 18. And if they are at that age and very promising then they will cost 10-20m + (could differ depending on countries though, and clauses)
-
Really hope we get a top quality wide player and a CM. Add a young RB like Fresneda. Trippier can play LB too if needed even though I prefer not to mess too much with that part I’m the team. Surely we get a quality wide forward of some sort. Otherwise it’s a third window failing to get one in.

Bruno is injured. Thigh.

Uma God!!

The collective is more important than any individual (if the rumours are true)

IF we can get the players we want now for the price we are willing to pay then there is absolutely no reason to wait until the summer. Why wait. It means one less player to sign in the summer and they will be more than ready to hit the ground running for next season, with the added bonus of having an even greater chance of reaching the CL this season already. Strike while the iron is hot. This doesn’t mean that we have to blow our entire summer budget or sign too many players risking to disrupt the good feeling. Get two in, maximum 3 if one is for backup and it will give the squad and club and the entire fan base another boost which will help in keeping the momentum up as well as being better equipped for potential injuries. You could argue that there’s a chance of signing better players if we are in the CL. However we can’t take this into account, never mind if we are gonna be even weaker if we don’t try and improve in this window. Do what we can do NOW within reasonable means and have a new look at it in the summer when we know where we stand. A couple of injuries now and we risk losing momentum and from there it can go badly very quickly with some bad luck. There’s wind now so hopefully we’ll raise our sails and take advantage. Also, there’s a chance that Liverpool and say Chelsea to name two, that they get their shit together for next season. The opportunity is there now. Personally I don’t think we need to sign big names, even if I would love say Maddison for example. Sign a few top quality young players and some of them will improve us now already, never mind the depth of the squad. Some might even hit ground running straight away. Also likely that these will get even better after a full preseason and after some time with the group and be on a very high level next season already. I don’t see us signing the likes of Caicedo no matter what. Rightly so imo

I’m very much for the saying “buy it nice or buy it twice”. This doesn’t necessarily mean that they have to cost a lot. More about not signing players for the sake of it and finding the right ones. Thinking both short and long term.
-
Cover/rotation kind of CM is pointless. Because once we do sign a quality starting CM we will have too many “average” player on our books. Sign quality and let players like Longstaff/Willock to name two, to become squad players. Whether it’s a Bruno aged player or a 20 year old top quality one they have to be starting players or near enough it at least and then become starting players because of their undoubted talent. Even if eased in in the beginning.

I think I’d rather have Varela than Tielemans. Mainly because Varela is much more dynamic and physical. He would allow us to push Bruno a bit forward as well as strengthen us defensively and offers more technical ability than Longstaff even if different players and positions. Then add someone more creative and offensive to go with Bruno and Varela or similar. I like Tielemans but I feel that if 2/3 is Bruno and Tielemans then we might need more legs in there when off the ball. I’m all for Tielemans too, just my preference.
-
Varela would be class.
-
We won’t. But we can beat Chelsea to CL.
-
Of course he is.
-
Looks/sounds the real deal. Plays like he is ten years older in a non Oba Oba way.
-
We will aim higher imo.
