All I’m hoping for is that we can continue to perform consistently even if there’s a loss or draw here and there. IF we make it to the CL then that’s a stunning achievement. If we don’t make it and end up in say 6th position then it’s still been an amazing season. We are a work in progress and it will take time to build up a top quality 11, never mind squad. If we are lucky with injuries and can get a couple of really good players then there is a massive chance to make it tbh.

An injury to Botman or Bruno and we are fucked. Top 4 isn’t impossible but we are gonna need a lot of luck when it comes to injuries and so on. We don’t have depth. Hopefully we can make some signings. I wouldn’t say fucked though, Butnit would hurt us badly. Could move Burn inside but then we have no LB as it is.

We don’t have much at LB either.

Would be class if we could get say Fresneda, Varela and Franca under 50m (initially). I like going this Route. Wouldn’t mind a “statement” either. Half an Enzo for three players that could become stars themselves.

Fair enough point tbh. Unfortunately this time it meant more often than not that we conceded possession and Arsenal could continue to attack us straight after we’ve won it. Wasn’t just Schärs Daily though as some of the players on the receiving end didn’t always manage to meet the ball properly either. Sven did make some lovely diagonal crosses but not too many through balls.

Thought he was better than Schar on the ball last night. Schär lost quite a bit of possession by misplacing passes.

Despite not being overly involved as we didn’t have that much possession it’s clear to see that he’s a level or two above our other CM when on the ball. Rarely lost it and looked calm and composed and even in some tight situations he managed to look the part. I like all our players and am thankful for their contributions and their attitude and work rate. However, put some more proper players around Bruno, more technical, quicker and simply better footballers overall and then we will see him being the star orchestrator he will be. He already looks bloody class but within time he will be even more wow. Can’t wait!

He has undoubted talent and potential, but still alot to prove. Needs to find some rythm and become the star he potentially can be. Needs to find some concistency. Great to have him back. Hopefully all that will come with us.

Id be happy if we got Franca and Varela. Even if they didn’t join until the summer. (I want for January too obviously)

Speaking of Wood. Lately he has been good backup for us, but last season he was poor overall. The Wood we saw against Leicester is the one I expected us to get. Last season he looked like old timber where his timing, touch and everything else was off. Much better now. People saying he contributed a lot last season are wrong imo. He worked but more or less nothing worked out for him. Yea we won games, but it wasn’t because of him even if he helped to a degree because he was on the pitch, obviously. Looks a different player now.
