Eddie Howe - Admitted to Hospital; To miss Man United (H)

If if if. I see this often on here. We have the points we deserve, it’s as simple as that. If a team can’t finish and be more clinical/confident/defending well enough then it is what it is. It’s not like we’ve been fucked over by the refs countless times, everything against us. Im not too worried about the points/position right now. I am thought from what I can see on the pitch. How little we can get out of this group of players at the moment. Our lack of control/quality in possession. Our shape and lack of creativity and so on. -
He’s very intelligent as well as having the physicality and technical ability.

Tonali 👏

But but… Tonali doesn’t fit this team. Tonali needs to show more. He has to invent the teleport before he plays.
-
Insane! Not even signed him yet and he’s already our best player.

Based on this: “we should have won this game if we had our shooting boots on” (despite the opposition also missing chances) Think we will win it anyway.
-
Then we should man up ourselves a bit I reckon.
-
If the intensity full flow play with space and transitions don’t work or there’s a game which just doesn’t have this then we look absolutely clueless with no answers.
-
The football is poor in everyone I’ve tried so far mate.
-
At least we could blame injuries last season.
-
At least play Wilson and take him off earlier if it’s about minutes.
-
Not sure how we will ever evolve considering how bad we are at controlling games and keeping possession. Said this before last season. We should be better.
-
We’re like headless chickens.

They haven’t played a lot together as a trio so patience is needed. Having said that, this is the our best midfield trio imo. Hopefully they perform reasonably well so they can get more time together. Willock gives at least some sort of deptth as an option passing forward which also helps Isak. Even though he’s not my kind of player for this role ideally. Unless it’s a game with lots of transitions.

He is settled. He just isn’t being played for some reason which I think is wrong.
-
That he doesn’t fit our team is absolute nonsense!

We definitely haven’t been clinical enough. Having said that we definitely aren’t creating enough clear cut chances overall either. -
Yes he has imo. The very few times he has started as well as coming on. At least I’ve seen tons of quality. Not saying he has been amazing every minute he has played, definitely not. The quality has been there to see clear as a day imo. Iffy team performances here and there and other players out of form at times certainly hasn’t helped us as a team in general. I just think that the space between our flat midfield and Isak doesn’t help him or Bruno at all. No playing depth. Both can be very good progressive passing players but there’s not many shorter options to play through the lines, as if we had a more triangular shape with some depth. We go wide 9/10. Also makes Isak quite isolated.
-
He hasn’t really played a lot with say Bruno and Willock for example. That would give us some sort of playing depth and balance imo. Even if Willock isn’t the type of attacking midfielder I want unless there’s lots of transitions and space.
-
Tonali isn’t the problem! Has done very well for us mostly. Never mind Italy where he has dominated against the likes of France. I want more playing depth for both him and Bruno. Not Willock who’s mostly effective when there’s a lot of transitions. I want another type. Think this would help both Bruno and Tonali as well as making us less predictable. Preferably some creative player out wide too. Not just a direct runner type of player like Gordon and Barnes. Someone different with a bit of flair. I’ve been going on about quite a lot I know. It would help Isak immensely too. We are too easy to predict and most of our patterns are the same. A player out wide where the opposition would have to double/triple up would do wonders alone as a whole.

One of very few, if not the only one who showed proper composure in his head and on the ball. Not too surprised with his technical ability and intelligence.

Tonali wasn't very good at all overall last season. This season however when he has looked very good at times he hasn't exactly been rewarded with playing time despite having done well earlier as well as showing great form for Italy.Judging him on last night is absolutely laughable considering the circumstances. We looked all over the place and like headless chickens. Howe's very odd changes definitely didn't help.
