People will not be on his or any other players back if they perform to a decent level. If a player isn't performing then of course people will talk about, just like they would if a player performs well, like he did yesterday. It's understandable that players don't always perform well because of various factors, but you can still demand more at times. Players and people in general will always be judged on how good/bad they do, it's just the way it is, whether thats football or any other job.

I can definitely see him develop into a good PL player. We need to strengthen our CM, but i can still see him having nice future with us if he continues to grow like he has done this season. Seems like an intelligent and down to earth kind of person, and in combo with Rafa I have a good feeling.

I agree they'll bring in a starting striker. The rotation policy will still see Gayle getting a fair amount of playing time though I'd imagine. or we may sell him? his stock will be a wee bit better now? What a stupid thing to write.
