  1. That's a big assumption you're making there, isn't it? I know it's a popular opinion (esp. among certain season ticket holders, funnily enough) that "being there and seeing it all" equates to amazing football expertise but, let's face it, that's bollocks. True. I know people who are going to a football ground every week, but haven't got a clue. You could also argued, that you must have been PLAYING football to understand the game... Going to a ground has nothing to do with the knowledge of football!
  2. looked a really good player. He IS a really good player... What's he been like with FC Zurich? Does he play as an out and out striker? or does he play just behind? Ben Saada, the little number 7 was eye catching as well, and scored a brilliant free-kick a-la Robert. He plays just behind. Think he's able to play as an out and out striker... He's brillant for Zurich - week in week out. Doesn't seem to like colder days, but he's just excellent. Was touted all over Germany last year, and every single manager is regretting his doubts. :-) Great future ahead of him...

    Conspiracy theory

I bet you didn't. I bet you mumbled it to your mate quiet enough so that the bloke couldn't hear. :-)
  5. It would be more like Zamblera, era, era, ay, ay, ay (and unfortunately not Zambrela)
  6. :-) And if you go, chasing rabbits, and you know you're going to fall...
  7. Was just going to say the same. Proper footballer's name. Sounds a bit like Zambrotta. He must be good then... :-)
  8. WTF? What bit?? The first bit was bullshit, the bit about Downing... was retarded. You saying downing isnt a far better player than the zog?? Think he'll have alot more assists & goals than him this season agree with Enrique... Downing??? :-0
  9. And mate, get a fuckin haircut. He went to play for Real Madrid and all he came back with was a suntan and a bad hairstyle. Got more or less the same. Thanks anyway...
  10. Never saw him as an attacking midfielder, but I would take him if he plays like he did in "Platoon"... :-)
  11. Interesting. Yeah I like the idea of bringing in a lot of young talents... But still we could use an offensive midfielder very soon.... joey barton not offensive enough ? offensive enough? Yes, but not good enough (so far) :-)

    Berbatov

    absolutely agreed...
  13. It wasn't that long ago - around the time of the last WC i think - when many members on this forum dismissed Adebayor as being 'a glorified version of Ameobi'. absolutely true. The same with Drogba when started for Chelsea. People need to be more patient when it comes to African players. That's why I still got hope for Martins to shine under good influence (KK)...
  14. The fact we are being so quiet is always positive. Keegans speaks later on today, he can never keep his gob shut just wait and see. That's what I was hoping for. If it wasn't KK in the hot seat, I would already be disappointed. But there's hope... :-)
  15. As the window closes on 1st of February, does anybody believe that we will sign someone until then? I've lost a bit of my hope, because of all that talk. > Probably something did go on behind the scenes. Who knows? Suggestions?
  16. You'd like my brother. He was the president of the Swiss ManU supporters club right until Glazer bought the club (the football and not the supporters club) :-) Nice, isn't it?
  17. Can someone please ban me? (I am a ban bandwagonjumper...tralalala) :-)
  18. Keegan had to be either a brilliant coach or a brain surgeon to do this. But he is neither. Anyway, are the people saying that Martins can learn to resolve his obvious deficits by good coaching the same who thought Bramble could overcome his concentration blackouts? The usual I-support-a-17Million£-super-goal-machine-which-is-always-injured-and-a-f******-mercenary comment. Bored with them... Your problem. I am not actually supporting Owen with my comment, but rather questioning where the belief that Martins can improve his game is coming from, because all this leg-humping is really boring me as well. Btw - It's the transfer window, shouldn't you make up fake transfer news for "entertainment"? Fake transfer news? Ah, seems that I have mistaken you for Swissmagpie who was the source for the dodgy Roeder to Zürich, Behrami signing etc. rumours. I am sorry for that. Who said Roeder to Zurich? What a joke! Wouldn't believe it for a second... No problem. I am kind of "un-nice". It's not my day today, sorry. No problem, just to cheer you up some entertainment from your (nearly) namesake... http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=42213.0 hilarious... :-)
