The reports of the club not being united were even correct.

I was wrong. What a shitter.

I wasn't old enough to fully appreciate Keegan when he was first here, but I was given the chance to feel what it was like with this second stint. He played football that was a joy to watch, something that hadn't happened since Bobby Robson was at the helm. The chance to actually take pride in how we go about playing our football I fear has gone, it could have been great. But now its fucked it up, and I seriously can't see how we are going to get out of this mess.

I feel numb. I seriously thought this could be sorted out after it was stated that he hadn't resigned or been sacked, had my hopes up and they been utterly shat upon.

I can see where you are coming from with Guthrie, he's a player that hardly featured for Liverpool, and didn't really stand out too much when loaned to Bolton. However like you, I don't have problems with him starting if he follow it up with good performances, and while not outstanding, I do think he's been generally solid for us. Would have prefered a player with a better reputation to be brought in along side him, but we haven't (Gonzalez is still an unknown tbh).

Can a Director of Football work in English Football

What is the actual job description of a DoF? -
Has Wise done anything though? All the rumours are that if anything it was Llambias, although they are just rumours. If he is sacked, I hope he actually was the source of the problem, and not just a scapegoat, as it will mean that it can all be put behind the club, and hopefully not(like fuck it will) resurface.

Lets wait until the whole episode is over first and we can say for definite that they were wrong They were wrong though, Keegan wasn't sacked and didn't walk out. They were reporting as if it happened there and then. He may have walked out at one point on Tuesday, but for Sky to be reporting it in that manner is apauling, without any official word from the club, they were reporting what was a rumour for atleast 2/3rd's of the news cycle.

Usually I wouldn't agree that the press should be held accountable for the effects of what they report, (Football wise, other issues are completely different) however with SSN and Co. stating that Keegan was sacked as if it was fact this has actually had a LARGE detremental effect upon our club. The anti - Ashley feeling was spread rediculous amounts on Tuesday, which I feel will linger and likely undermine what will happen with us in the future. The 500 or so that turned out to protest done so thinking that SSN etc... was reporting fact, which is what they made it out to be, however instead they knew fuck all. Obviously something happened on Monday night/Tuesday morning, but they haven't got a clue. The rediculous idea that the media have a conspiracy against us isn't looking too far off the mark tbh.

If the paper speculation that Keegan has no say in whether a transfer is completed or not, then I want that to change. I would like it so that Keegan has the final say on any potential player that Jimenez/Vetere want, as they do seem to be very good a finding the players. That would be the best situation for the club.

I feel the same way. It's spoiling the sport as it isn't based on an ethos that the whole club can work together to bring success (Bringing in young talent etc...), but instead its to do with solely how much money one man/company is willing to throw around on players. However the sad fact is that if we want success we have to be one of those clubs that is doing harm to the sport, and I care more for Newcastle United than the sport in general.

If thats true, which seems plausable, then we have been dumped with one hell of a stingy Billionaire.

I agree, whatever happens now, it's not going to be good. If he does stay the media will keep relating to this incident, linking any loss/incident back to this, and more Keegan to be sacked stories will be printed. If he leaves, Ashley will have lost all respect of the fans, and getting a new manager in will be harder than it ever has been. The only positives I can see from either scenario is that if Keegan stays, Ashley will know he can't fuck him about as the fans are well and truly on his side and if he leaves, it may entise Ashley to sell up and we could see a regime thats more willing to splash the cash. However whatever happens, I can't really see the positives coming through this mess.
-
Thing is though, those decisions usually rest with the manager if he's backed by the board/owner, however the fact that Ashley is having his say on matters such as that means he doesn't back him as he feels his input should be on a pedastool near to Keving Keegans.

The only problem for me is that a lot of fans will actually believe the tripe the papers churn out due to being put in the dark. If that wasn't an issue, then i'd be fine with it.

Barton's McDoanlds incident I believe. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=R-onm5i_YVc

Yeah, every team does have their dickhead minority of a following, but it looks as if near 200 fans were chasing that copper, slightly more than a few twats here and there. The fact that 20 or so of them laced into the copper while on the floor shows what cowardly arseholes those people are tbh. What arseholes the 20 or so or the 100,000 ? The ones who caused bother. Obviously the majority who went down are more than likely decent people, however it just seems that there is generally a larger minority of twats in Rangers' ranks than for example, ours.

Bloody hell, it doesn't feel like AZ game was just over a year ago. I don't rate him, he offers little to the team when he plays which isn't reflected at all in his wages and I don't think he will get anywhere near recaputuring his form.

SSN were interviewing Chelsea supporters before the match. There were 4 fans interviewed, two from Ireland, one American and one Brummy accent in think it was. They are just as bad tbh.

Barca in the Champions League, 10th December 2002, for my birthday when I was 12, however it was called off after only 10 minutes in the ground due to the weather being terrible and we couldn't stay over. Brilliant day all round though. Got my money back bar the match ticket which was used to go to Milan, best atmosphere I've ever been in, absolutely epic game.

I f****** hate Sunderland. They're too much of a joke to be hatred. I can understand why you don't share the dislike being from York. You support Newcastle, and are as much as a fan as anyone, but the fact that you don't really live with/near or know many/any mackems will mean that there is less of a hatred there. I live in Jarrow, which is near enough split and I absolutely f****** hate them, their supporters (when it comes to football) the club, everything. It's irrational in a way, but it's just present.l

Would he bollocks. I take no offence to that in slightest, I personally hate religion in general (Islam included to the fullest extent), everything about it, if anything I'm happy he is contributing. The fact that most of the Muslims he knows are Iranian who grew up before the revolution (himself included) will be a factor however. Supposedly a very western culture with the shah.

Ai, as much as i hate the scouse twats, that looked brilliant at the end.
