It's a tricky one as Spurs do have some very good players who can hurt you on their day, just have to look at their early season form to see that. As long as we aren't complacent, we should win though. Don't give them any cheap goals and we should be good for a win.
-
We were probably saying this about Trippier over Livramento two season ago.
-
I've already posted in the Trafford thread that I don't see City giving us the same deal we had lined up with his former club. Why would they do us any favours? If we buy him we will have to pay through the nose.
-
I could see him scoring that many in the PL if he was starting regularly. Not that it's likely, but it's not impossible either once he gets a run of games and understands what's expected of him. He has a lot of attributes, but he needs to cut out the silly step overs and learn to be a bit more direct.

The issue isn't performance for me, it's Botman's fitness record over the last couple of years. I don't want to lose Botman in order to keep playing Burn who is a depreciating asset, but Botman's injury record is going to complicate new contract negotiations.
-
I was amazed - and relieved - they didn't go for Iraola. Frank might still be a decent manager, but maybe more suited to mid-table clubs playing limited football.
-
This has been my position for a long time, but he's been crocked for such a long period of time, I could understand reservations about giving him a bumper contract. Shame because he's top class when he's fit.
-
Great opportunity for Ramsdale to make that shirt his own.
-
Why would City be incentivised to sell him on a similar fee? They have a top young keeper to back up Donaruma, and we are currently rivals for a CL place. The only reason they got him for that price was they had the buyback clause. They'd want a lot more now I suspect.
-
Especially given Frankfurt's reputation of buying young strikers cheap then turning them into superstars.
-
It's the reason I refused to look at the deal from a finance POV. Obviously we'll not get that money back, but I'm convinced he's a helluva striker who will give us just what we need as the pace component in our strike arsenal.
-
Same here. He's surely fit enough to be ready to come on for a 10min run out if the chance arises.
-
I don't think Bruno would have the pace to get up and down the flanks tbh, bearing in mind Joelinton does a lot of covering for the wingers/full backs down the left. I'm not really a fan of square pegs for round holes in general.
-
Especially important if you want to play football from the back, which is how we have been progressing since Howe took over. He deserves a lot of credit for chasing both full backs, there was plenty of people wondering why we were spending £80m on full backs who were still relatively unproven.
-
True. But that loss to a shite West Ham will still be a hard one to digest.
-
Paqueta trying to engineer a move away again.
-
Still hard to stomach we didn't wipe the floor with them.
-
Would be even better if it was Tuesday against Spurs.
-
Ramsey's first touch there was really poor. Seen Murphy do that previously, but I think he does it on purpose to avoid getting tackled, Ramsey was just clumsy.
-
Isak offered the pace in behind, that stopped teams pushing up to press. Obviously Wolt offers a lot more in other areas, but if we are doing a comparison then pace is definitely a factor.
-
Isn't LCM where Joelinton operates?
-
I think MIley can probably operate across the midfield, just not sure about the left side role that Joelinton operates. I've seen suggestions by @STM for one, that he should replace Joelinton in the starting line up, but Joelinton does a lot of work out wide left, not sure if that is Miley's game.
-
He's not a left sided midfielder either, so I'm still not sure how he would be a replacement for Joelinton. I always pegged him as more of a Bruno alternative, but he did a good job in standing in for Tonali yesterday so fair play.

Everton fans being reminded why they got fed up with Moyes first time round.

Thanks for letting us know your thoughts on this Eddie.
