We need to find a way of playing which utilises Ba's strengths. Shola for all he played well yesterday never looks like scoring and Ba's record suggests he will.

I don't know if he was played as a striker yesterday but if he was then he shouldn't be considered for that role again in a hurry. He was nowhere near Shola all game. I like some of his passing when he's out wide though.

Fairly low I'd say. With only one goal scored in two games, and that from a set piece scored by a defender, it's fairly obvious we need a striker in. I don't think the club could be that stupid as to ignore the reality. That said I wouldn't put any money on it either.

I'm not convinced by the three man midfield as it stands as Barton and Cabaye both seem to like sitting deep and the forwards are getting isolated. Maybe it's been the match situations and we have been cautious because of the tough opening but going forward we've looked impotent. Again, it might be the forwards are not up to it, Shola we all know about and Obertan looked lost yesterday. We definitely need to make some changes because we are far from the finished product yet.

How old is Cissokho? I caught a glimpse of him in the CL last week and he looked fairly chunky. I didn't get a proper look but he seemed to lack energy.

Does anyone else feel that Vukic should at least be on the bench? I've got a feeling we might end up loaning him out but I get the feeling he could provide real goal threat. Nothing against Obertan but Vukic knows how to attack the penalty area and that's something we are missing in our side at the moment. I hope he starts against Scunthorpe and gets a goal because his good work in pre-season seems to have been ignored.
