  1. Pretty sure he came out and said they were fully committed just last week when he was asked the question.
  2. The daft thing is, at this point it is in their hands. If they offer close enough to £150m I'm pretty sure we would sell. We'd probably take our chances with Wissa and someone like Jackson/Aghehowa for the sake of getting the atmosphere at the club positive again. They really have been absolute cunts about this. I hope Eddie is reconsidering his friendship with Hughes the slimy bastard.

Yeah I said beyond what it already is at professional level, that was the caveat. He's not a 14 year old, he's playing at a very high level already. Regardless, I've just watched one of his skills highlights and I've changed my mind somewhat. There's definitely something there, might well be worth a punt at around £50-60m. He's only 21 so got a high ceiling you would imagine, and he'd be a proper target man.

    Yoane Wissa

Although it's in reality probably just bluffing to get us to sell Isak.

    Yoane Wissa

It wouldn't be the worst move though, they could use him for a year then move for Isak next season. Short term thinking but it solves a problem, and then even if Isak didn't become available, Wissa is good for 3 years you would reckon.
  6. Yeah I actually think it helps that he doesn't seem to care that much. I think his reserved personality has meant fans have hesitated to really embrace him like with Bruno, but that means once he's realised that he's here for another year he'll just get on with it with a view to leaving next summer.
  7. That's because he hasn't put it out there, it's just some random tweet claiming he's the source as far as I can tell.

We should still have moved before the change of manager though, I don't understand why we waited once the deal was agreed with Como.

The first touch can either make or break attacking moves though. He would be incredibly frustrating to play with, and I'm not sure that's something you can coach if he's not already got it at the professional level.

He's the opposite of Isak really. Lots of physical power, but missing the clinical touch and precision.
  11. Yeah, by looking after our interests and not Liverpool's. We aren't here to honour their march to glory.

They've worked out ok for us so far.

It's not like this is a player signed from desperation, he's been on our shortlist for a year.
  14. If we sign him he might even start. Probably wouldn't have if Gordon hadn't got injured so that might actually work in our favour on the day.
  15. Yeah I feel we weren't that bad, just didn't have the killer touch up front. Not surprising when you don't have a striker playing.
  16. He only hit one raking pass, but with a glorious mane of hair like that he probably gets extra points.
  17. They've killed our flow with some sneaky little fouls like, should be getting cards for some of them.
  18. Well it might work for us if Gordon doesn't start up front next week.
  19. This second half is shite. At least we made some good opportunities in the first half even if no one could take them.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

For all the stick the recruitment team has got, we could still end up with some signings who can have a big impact on the squad by September.
  21. It works best if you use the NUFC app on your phone and cast to a tv.

Agree with this like. I was hearing yesterday that Howe had made Isak the player that he is. He scored two pearlers on his debut against Liverpool.
