    Pretty much nails it.

£1250 then. What would you prefer Pardew and the grand or get somebody else in and lose £1250?! I'd prefer we didn't got Pardew and Ronaldo lost the money tbh.

Ashley can stick his press conference up his arse. Stick Pardew there while he's at it. Assuming his nose isn't already lodged up there.
  4. He didn't fancy Tevez or Mascherano so what chance a dodgy spaniard like Enrique? What a fucking tool Pardew is.
  5. Jol would have been the best appointment and he's available which makes it more frustrating. Other than that, there's Owen Coyle and Di Matteo who have done well. Even Curbishley though a bit flaky, at least tries to play the right way.
  6. I've supported Newcastle all my life and I can't turn it on or off like a tap. But the motivation to watch them, whether live or on tv has took a big dive. I just hope sooner or later this dark stain on our history is over.
  7. I would follow Ashley's policy and look for value for money. £30 to watch sub-standard players led by a moron doesn't look like a good deal to me.

wouldnt be like talksport to lie though to get idiots phoning and texting inin now would it. Strange that no other media outlet are so sure like talksport are trying to nake out. Just going by Ashleys previous, no one had a clue about appointments of KK, JFK or shearer. But Golfmag knows and, tbf, he's not been wrong about this situation so far. Alas, I fear he's telling the truth. He'll be the first Toon manager who I despise with an absolute passion. WHY? someone please enlighten me on the pardew hartred He was given free use of Mascherano and Tevez (combined value of £45m?) and managed to make them look shite. Encouraged the claims that they were spoiling the team spirit of his dogshit squad. What more does anyone need to know? you think that warrants a statement like "despise with an absolute passion"? fuck off lads, you're all getting a bit carried away It means he's another Joe Kinnear. A fucking tosser who can't appreciate good footballers and is more suited to going for a pint with the lads after the game.

  10. Just one question. If Mike Ashley wants and expects value for money as owner of Newcastle, what does he think fans are looking for when they shell out hundreds on a season ticket every year?
  11. I wouldn't argue with that in principle but in reality it will mean getting a shite manager who will only be able to buy shite players with very limited funds. I wonder how that will end up?
  12. My support is finished if Pardew is appointed. Ashley and his London crew can fuck off if they think they can use Newcastle as some sort of QPR type experiment for stingey fatcats.
  13. I notice in that statement he doesn't even pretend that he has a vision to make Newcastle even moderately successful, and by that I mean challenging for a place in Europe. Basically what he wants is a low grade, low paid manager who will somehow turn piss into wine.

But cheap at the going rate like Kinnear and Hughton. Let's not forget why those two got appointed in the first place.

would it be beyond some journalist to pick an outsider, place a bet then place a piece saying he's a possibility, odds tumble, bet laid, profits and trebles all round ? That would be more Mike Ashley's style surely. Who would have bet on Kinnear and Hughton a couple of years ago?

I'm starting to think maybe Alan Pardew is being thrown out there as as a softener by Ashley's PR people so we will eventually accept JFK back as a superior alternative.

or i've correctly remembered the start of last season. the players played for him because they liked him, i also still remember nolan calling for a sub for tactical reasons and it was done minutes later. You haven't correctly remembered the start of the season at all and as I said, completely underestimated the influence of the manager in football. You've trotted out the same cliches that the Hughton haters used. Claiming we had the best squad in the division blah blah blah. Football isn't won on paper and most fans appreciate this. i said at the time we had the strongets squad, backed it at the bookies and won handsomely. football isn't won on paper, what does this mean ? surely you look at othet teams an assess them accordingly. You don't know what 'football isn't won on paper' means? Regardless of whether we had the best squad, Hughton still had to manage us out of the division and he did so with flying colours. We didn't have the third worst squad the division when we went down did we? But as I say, football isn't won in paper. had to manage us out the decision yet we were screaming at him to drop alan smith cos he was playing s***. He did didn't he? 4, 5 month later ? While comfortably top, so what's your point? Take a look at our benches from last season up until January to find out why he played Smith. I hate Smith but f***ing hell, talk about twisting facts. "Fergie won the title with John O'Shea at left back, the useless c***" twisting facts....i was calling for smith to be dropped all season, many thought so too and in nolan, guthrie, barton.....smith came 4th. or does it mean he got everything right because we won the league ? He did get everything right because he won the league. More right than that cunt Pardew with his Mascherano/Teves destroying his his shit squad team spirit ever will.

tevez looked quality as time went on, mascherano looked shit. The fact Mascherano looked shit tells you all you need to know about Pardew. If you put Glen Hoddle in a Tony Pulis side he'd probably look shit too.

Yes. He also failed to scotch the talk that Mascherano and Tevez had de-railed the spirit of his (shite) squad, and in fact seemed to encourage it. I find it impossible to respect such a tit and if he ends up here I think I'll just take a back seat interest until the club gets sold.
  20. That would explain why he needed to be sacked then.
  21. Jol was definitely interested in the job after he left Spurs, personally I think he'd jump at the chance of managing a big club in England again. The major doubt would have to be whether Ashley is capable of signing a pedigree manager. It's the only way sacking Hughton would make any sense, but I still wouldn't be surprised if Alan Pardew was at St James Park tomorrow.
  22. It's a moot point seeing as we won't be trying to attract a decent manager. Hughton is out the door because he probably wanted a contract which made him higher paid than the janitor.
  23. TRon

    Chris Hughton

I hope he goes on to have a successful career as a manager somewhere else. Maybe he was unproven but there's more chance of him going on to great things than Alan Pardew.
  24. It's looking like that from the inside as well tbh.
