Just about sums up the cluelessness of this regime. To think, only Joe Kinnear's doctor prevented him from being in charge right now.
-
We paid far too much for him but there's not much we can do about that now. I didn't think he was as bad in the premier as people made out btw , he came in for more criticism than most, but then so did Enrique and that was over the top as well.

You know fine well that scoring headers and flicking them on are two very different things. To be fair at times he has been magnificent in turning pretty poor crosses into goal scoring opportunities/goals. He doesn't do it often enougn but then we don't get balls into the box enough either. His flick ons tend to be into empty space, I actually think he's better at heading for goal, although he tends to jump vertically and doesn't attack the ball well for the power headers. He's looked best alongside Ranger for me, both lads can run with the ball so there seems less reliance on the redundant high ball tactic.

Don't throw a wobbly at me mate, I'm not buying the club unless the price drops to £100 or so. Send a mass e-mail to the Sheikhs, Yanks, South Africans, Koreans etc. Obviously they are too dense to realise what a massive opportunity they are missing out on here.

If you can post the article that would be great. I love getting linked with youngsters Now there's a line that could be open to false interpretation.

i totally agree with dave here moat was trying to get the club for what he thought it was worth, he may of had another 80M to pump into the club, probably because it needed a significant amount to keep us running and to get shearer the transfer funds neccessary to get the club back-up and stay up So why has he given up? Nothing is unsellable to Ashley. He doesn't want to pay more than the club's worth? Its worth more than £80m and certainly more that £60m plus add ons thats for sure. That must be why buyers are lining up to snap Ashley's hand off then. Remarkable as this may sound should we go one better than Keegans team and win the Championship then £100m will be a very good price given the huge rise in TV, Sponsorship, shirt deals etc, even by going straight back down would make a profit in theory however survival would obviously be better. You will have to ask the 6 interested parties or the two offers of £100m that we had(yeah right) to see why they didnt buy us, or in fact whether it was really for sale.... So you are pricing the club based on getting promotion despite the fact we've only played 15 games yet? Then you wonder why the club hasn't been sold.... Of course not, considering the post clearly has the word 'should' at the start its a leap of faith based on what should happen with the right leadership and a little investment. When you buy a house to do up do you look at what it is then or what potential it has? Similar concept in that way, this club has huge potential far above £80m to £100m which is something even Ashley has noticed, you will too one day. Maybe both you and Ashley will one day realise no one pays more money based on potentially going up, especially without crucial investment in the squad which would make the chances more certain. There again, not many people are daft enough to buy without due diligence so maybe crediting fatty with the ability to learn is doing him more credit than he deserves.

With my memory I wouldn't count on it

Defefnders who don't mark their forwards very well don't get noticed as much on telly.

I first read that without the word 'it' and it seemed like such a fantastic idea. The Times: THIS IS BOLLOCKS, The Guardian: BOLLOCKS @ ST JAMES, The Chronicle: NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS, HERE'S SOME MORE FUCKING BOLLOCKS. The Guardian headline is the best and quite a realistic future headline I feel.

Steady...you don't want to scupper Jayson's year long anti-Coloccini campaign. The idea is to focus on the curly-haired defender's gaffes not any stuff he might do well.

Someone should sew this twat's lips together because every time he opens his mouth he makes a bigger fool of himself and Ashley...if it were possible.

I'd just like to confirm that Caulkin is indeed my favourite sports journalist contrary to what I may have written earlier. A splendid writer fit to grace a quality publication like the Times.
-
He's a mackem? Where did you hear that? He's not my favourite sports journo btw. Mackem cunt.

We are playing at home so Hughton won't be able to justify playing Butt and Smith together. I'd like to see Ranger and Carroll start but I'm pretty sure Nolan will play up front again.
-
Curbishley did a shit job at West Ham. They should be suing him in my opinion.
-
He actually protects the back four a lot more effectively than his former Man U colleague, Butt.
-
It's a shame he didn't cripple that ugly cunt Chris Morgan though. I wouldn't want to see many pros being knocked spark out on the pitch but in this case I was sorely tempted...

Running with the ball and not releasing it is as bad as not running or even not having the ball in the first place. Running with the ball and giving it away cheaply because you have two left feet is even worse. Unfortunately it's something Jonas is very good at. Jonas's efforts look bad until you compare them with Lovenkrands who is the natural replacement. He was missing due to family illness yesterday, in his previous games he's been missing despite being in the starting eleven. It's bad regardless of who it's compared with. I don't agree that Jonas should be given the benefit of the doubt because he's our only real option. I begrudingly understand we're stuck with him unless we get a loanee in or a youngster breaks through but i'm not going to pretend he's something he isn't because of this. He is a horrendous footballer. I don't rate Lovenkrands as a winger anyway so the comparison with him is moot if you ask me. He's primarily a striker that has been forced out there with varying degrees of success over the course of his career. Well yes, I would prefer someone better than Jonas as well. Unfortunately we haven't got anyone.

Despite the moans about the poor football served up, one thing which has pleased me this season is that we won't be bullied by Championship teams. Seffield United were another team fielding thugs like Morgan and the blonde tart next to him hoping to kick us out of our stride and they like others they failed. I enjoyed Colo's sly kick at the Sheffield lad's thigh as well. Top man.
