  1. Yep. Said it in another thread, it's nailed on.
  2. I don't think I will be able to watch. I might just go out somewhere to take my mind off it.
  3. I had a bad feeling as soon as I saw that Oba was starting and I said it in the pre-match thread. He'd have been a handy ace in the pack as a sub against a tiring defence, to pitch him in for 90 mins half fit was a mistake.

    Ashamed

We started celebrating too early after Monday. Simple as that.
  5. Look on the bright side, if we go down at least we'll have the satisfaction of knowing Ashley is a fat bastard. Yay.

    Relegationometer

I've been saying for weeks now that the one thing we didn't want was to be relying on other results to stay up but here we are. It's 50/50 now, but we have to get at least a draw at Villa or we are relegated. I am going to try and stay away from football this week, it just doesn't bear contemplating.

    Obafemi Martins

Jayson's been kissing Owen's arse all week so he probably thinks blaming Martins will deflect the criticism. Fact is, if Martins hadn't scored on Monday we'd already be down. your the one linking my comments about MARTINS towards Owen. I am not even considering owen to be honest, i think its shite that hes somehow managed to twat himself again. What i AM however saying, is that martins finishing was SHITE. its not a very confusing argument How come you didn't post in this thread after the boro game? Did Martins goal which could still keep us up sicken you?

    Obafemi Martins

Is it his fault Owen wasn't fit to start as well? I think there is a case to be made here...
  10. Seconded. I am not going to bother voting, I feel sick enough as it is.
  11. I still think we have a decent chance of staying up but it has nothing to do with belief. You believe we'll stay up. Which is exactly what I'm talking about... I don't have belief that we'll stay up. I think we have a chance if results go our way. Belief is a lot different from pot luck.
  12. I wonder if they'll switch our match for the telly? I'm sure the rest of the country would like to see us battle for our Prem future.

    Howard Webb

What block? Webb couldn't see it anyway..that's my point,he can't disallow a goal for something he MIGHT have thought happened. Did anyone seriously think Nolan would get away with it two weeks running?
  15. It's no longer in our hands. We could win next week and still go down. I'm sorry but "believe" isn't what I feel right now. "Cross my fingers and hope everyone else does us a favour because we can't rely on ourselves" describes it better.
  16. I think it's about 50/50 tbh
  17. We did get a goal, to those with eyes. We did? Ok I feel a lot better now....cheers!
  18. We only needed a fucking point to give us a fighting chance. Disastrous.
  19. He was never going to score, but at least he could have kept the Fulham defenders occupied until it was time to bring Martins on.
  20. It will prove a mistake to start Oba I reckon. We should have gone for Lovenkrands to start keeping Oba as an impact sub.

    Joey Barton

I don't like him at all, he's a complete tosser as a person, but he is a decent footballer. Shearer is right to give him a final chance. People will say he's had enough chances but at least it will have sunk into Barton's dense skull that Shearer isn't someone he can mess with. I doubt he'll ever try it on with Big Al again, and if he does he'll be out the door with a large no 9 boot up his backside.
  22. Just to dig up old bones; selling Milner wasn't the mistake, 'replacing him' with Xisco and Gonzalez was. Imo anyway... Anyone talking about it being a mistake to sell Milner for £12m is being wise after the event, which makes the opinion worthless.
  23. Neither do I, but he's better than what we've got. Sad but true.
