    Fabian Schär

He needs more pace around him as he's not blessed with that much himself. This is a weakness of the whole back 4 tbf, it's always a danger against sides with rapid forwards.
  2. He's got stuck in one gear for me. The Howe way of football is the same as Klopp or Pep, but they have the squad and the players to execute it, at the moment we don't. Today he made the opposition manager look like a genius, reminded me of when we were 1-0 up against Liverpool down to 10 men at home. We shouldn't be playing into the opposition's hands when they are the ones who need to chase the game. Ridiuculous amount of space for them to run into giving strikers easy one on one's against the keeper.
  3. It was unforgivable, and Di Canio sliding to his knees celebrating was the nadir of the horrendous Pardew era. Who I still consider the biggest cunt to ever manage this club.
  4. I just thought on a day when everyone looked like they were playing at half pace, he was the one who was actually making runs and going for one twos. But I also said he's useless in the final third, and for a forward that's damning.
  5. I thought he was one of the few players who looked like he was playing at 100% in the first half, he was looking quite sharp....until he got in the penalty area. Watching Salah ram the ball home just now shows the difference real class makes at this level.

    Lewis Hall

Hard to tell really, we've barely seen him on the pitch.

    Lewis Hall

Didn't he have a great game against us last season for Chelsea? I think that might have been one of the reasons we were prepared to spend big on him.
  8. Not sure Hall would agree about being an out of position full back, he considers himself a midfielder according to some circles. I understand Howe is very reliant on Gordon whose had a great season, but he really has looked knackered for a few weeks now.
  9. Miley looked far more confident on the ball than Lonstaff whose first touch was often landing a yard i front of him. But maybe he wasn't tracking back properly. I didn't notice it, but someone in the match thread said his side was wide open.
  10. I would suggest we get guarantees he wants to be here before making any official approach.
  11. We didn't have to start them tbf. Lewis Hall can play left wide if we wanted to give Gordon a rest, which he's really overdue. I can understand why Howe doesn't want to leave Gordon out but he looks absolutely paggered. When performances are this flat then you have to make some hard decisions.
  12. We looked traumatised in some of the games before that as well though.
  13. Trippier has been very subdued today, I think his confidence is dented pretty bad.
  14. You need players 100% charged to play with intensity. If we don't have that charge then we are left chasing shadows with no fall back plan.
  15. It seems like he was hauled off because he let his man go on the set piece. Not sure I agree with it because he looked like one of the few players who wasn't getting rushed out of his stride. Longstaff looked far less confident, I would have took him off.
  16. Hard to see us coming back into this with that approach. We don't look like we want to be out there.
  17. He's actually been one of our brighter players. Except when he gets in the box.
  18. Liverpool would be guaranteed a win from here. They just wouldn't accept anything less.
  19. Luton well worth the lead so far. We look flustered and lacking in belief.
  20. Longstaff is hovering around the ball without looking like he really wants it.
  21. Yet he's still provided the two best crosses from our side so far.
  22. They are just rushing us into giving the ball away. Just a few players not comfortable on the ball fucks up our whole build up.
