This is my point. It's one thing to dance, but to do it as badly as Paqueta with his stupid head rolling and being a West Ham cunt is really not on.
-
All that needs to be said on this matter.
-
Wey of coaarse it will man.

Roy Keane was having a moan about the Brazilians being disrespectful to Korea with their silly dances, and while I don't think that was their intention, it did still look a bit daft. Guys I know it's Brazil, and this is just what they do, but still seems like they are celebrating a bit prematurely. Maybe it's a bit more sour now that Paqueta is a West Ham player, the fraud.

It was a cracking play by him tbf.

England looking particularly shit so far.
-
I feel bad for him personally, but from a Newcastle POV it's not the worst thing. He's exactly what Brazil need ahead of some of their big lights, but better for us if he stays behind Paqeta and Fred.

They brought him on so late I thought he would barely get a touch considering how Argentina had dominated that second half, but the only time he was given a sniff almost turned the game on it's head. The defenders mobbing Martinez for the save said everything.

I'm ambivalent tbh. I don't want them getting promoted, but on the other hand I think they've been romanticised too much by that Netflix documentary. If they come up, at least there'll be some light shone on their UKIP racism which led the way to Brexit, and as a bonus we'll get to thrash them to make up for the Pardew years.

His goals from half a century ago still look great today. I think that says everything.

That one touch with the turn and shot on goal was better than anything that Martinez managed with three opportunities at the other end for the much vaunted Argentina. More often than not it's a goal, only a really fine save from the goalie stops that from hitting the net.

You were pretty impressive mate, nice to see a Dutch side show some flashes of that old pedigree. Both goals were really well worked, so many times you see wide men just cross it into a melee of defenders, it was quite smart to pull it back a bit further, and looked well planned as there was players arriving late into that space for both goals. Going to be a very well contested QF with Argentina.

I might be in a minority here, but I thought Argentina looked better without Di Maria. He's got lots of pace and tricks, but his end product has always looked inconsistent for me. Today they looked solid and their one touch passing and control of the game was really top notch, although they still lack a bit of bite up front. Martinez' finishing when he came on was laughable.

Agree basically. He was a big part of the Robson CL years, and I'll always have fond memories because of that, but he never struck me as management material - but coach - why not? Also agree he's a canny pundit when I've watched him, generally quite blunt and straight to the point, doesn't play up to the audience which I always appreciate.

Copying badges. Ok they put lions on there instead of seahorses, but was clearly designed around the same concept.

Doesn't Harry Kane ever get fatigue? I was sure Southgate would use this as an opportunity to give Wilson a run out, but seems like that was wishful thinking.

Bruno wasn't at the top of his game like he's been for NUFC, but he was still immediately purposeful and trying to make things happen. You could see that once he's worked out his role in that team he could bring plenty. Looked like he was finding his way at international level, obviously he doesn't start most games so that's understandable.
-
It was going in deflection or not. Don't know why it's even being mentioned.
-
I'n going to give our Bruno the credit for turning things around. He's come in and took control straight away, obviously his teammates appreciate his football intelligence and work rate.

Man U paid a stupidly high fee for someone in his 30's but Casimero is a hell of a player.
-
Brazil looking a it better since the subs. Edit: what a goal.

Thank fuck Jesus is replacing Richarlison, his first touch has been gash on the couple of times he's been put in.
