Or go back in for Edson Alvarez. I think a DM might be the surprise signing we go for, think it will make Bruno even more effective if it frees him up to go where the space is.
-
I think we would have like if we thought he was worth it. Unless this is just a cashflow thing.

Let's hope @Flip's judgement stinks then, this is certainly what I'm hanging my hat on. Praying Paqueta turns out to be a namby pamby softie who can't hack English football.

Tomatoes, tomayto's. In January you'd have have hardly dared dream any of them were atainable.
-
Was just thinking earlier, if I was asked who would be my ideal forward taking age and potential into account, Haaland would have been first, Nunez probably second, and then Isak. It's an amazing signing. He's up there with all of them.
-
That should not have made me laugh as much as it did.

If Maddison has seen what's going on at Newcastle with the Isak signing, it might be why he's feeling more that one type of twinge. Maybe he's finally discovered he has more ambition than he thought.

Howe as well it seems. Looks like he'd pick Maddison if he had his choice, and possibly even Gallagher. I haven't seen that much of Paqueta, but he does seem to like doing a few tricks, I wonder if Eddie wants a more pass and move type AM? I suppose you can have too many dribblers if that's a thing?

Honestly that's how I saw it as well, said as much in the match thread. It was noticeable that when we had our muck and nettles second string out, they got flustered by a bit of pressure pretty easily.
-
I must have watched those two games then.
-
I was judging purely on the players I saw who managed to pick their way through the Tranmere charge and find the odd pass. Willock wasn't perfect by any means, but he looked less panicked than some, including Longstaff.
-
I don't know if I just pick to watch the wrong matches, but De Gea seems to throw the ball in his own net every other game. I get he's a good shot stopper (mostly) but his mistakes have been going on for years now. I would be surprised if Dubravka isn't starting regularly within a month of signing if he goes there.
-
Willock looked a country mile better IMO.
-
I think we should have pushed for about £7m tbh, but I guess we are doing him a solid after a stellar career for us.
-
We're probably only lettting him go out of compassion tbh, he needs the move for his world cup place.
-
He's better than owt you've got.
-
Willock is a midfielder, Almiron is more of a number 10 type forward. Not sure even Willock is a midfielder in the proper sense of the term, but he can probably put his foot in a bit more than Almiron. Anyway it's not worth arguing the toss, I would imagine they'll both be replaced soon enough.

Don't know where the rumour of £34m came from but it never made any sense. Moyes making a tit of himself prematurely. Give me taciturn Eddie any day of the week.
