You'd have to ask why they have supposedly lined up Houssem Aouar as his replacement then. Most clubs want to hold onto their best players as long as they can, but in reality when it gets down to 24 months on the contract, they want to get the fee while they can. Leicester do operate like that generally anyway, they sell high then buy low.

I suppose it depends if they can offload Fofana to Chelsea first, that would make selling Maddison an option rather than a necessity. From our POV I think we won't push that hard because it wasn't really a priority position anyway, just a chance to land a really top player.

Well I'm a big fan of Madisson's end product but I also think Willock offers similar qualities which are maybe not quite as refined yet. I think Maddison at a certain price point makes sesne, after that, not sure it's worth it in the long term.

I think he has a massively inflated opinon of himself. He made too much of a public show of telling us he wasn't interested in the Newcastle job last year, that was disrespectful as far as i'm concerned. He could have just said nothing. Even the Leicester fan on here is intimating the same opinion.
