We also can safely assume that Maddison wants to come, bigger club, manager who isn't a self-aggrandising arsehole....there's loads of reasons why he might be favouring a move north.

You'd be wrong about Maddison. It won't take £60m to get him if he's got two years left on his contract. £45m might do it I reckon.

He was pretty close to getting the sack last season from what I recall. Leicester were in freefall for a while and fans tend to have short memories. Whatever he achieved in the past won't mean much if they aren't performing currently.

I'm not watching any youtube videos just yet, but this has to happen IMO. Leicester must behave in a logical manner and take our money. This isn't Spain where you can hold onto players just because the owner's a huffy twat.

Rodgers is the only person at Leicester whose opinion counts for nothing. He's barely even the manager these days, more of a caretaker. I bet their fans can't stand him.

He's got 2 years left on his contract. Take £40m now or £20m next year. It's that simple.

This is the first transfer I feel really confident about. It makes sense for everyone involved, just a matter of coming to an agreeable fee.

They don't need to sell anyone, but Maddison has two years left on his contract. Not sure what the situation is with their other players, but that means there's a countdown as far as getting good money for him goes. Ashworth knows this quite clearly.

I do feel disappointed that Paqueta is probably going to another club tbh, if we really wanted an AM, he woud have been my first choice. Looks like he's probably heading somewhere else. But Maddison will do me no problem. Get him in.

Still not convinced he can do it over a season, but yesterday was the perfect game from him. If he can do that 7/10 games you wouldn't want anyone else in your team.

Lukakau was a flop for Chelsea, that doesn't make him a bad player.
