  1. Jack Harrison's delivery for Leeds' first goal today is something we don't see enough of from either Max or Almiron. Neither of them arrive at the far post either to support Wislon, no wonder he always looks isolated. No wonder their stats are comparatively poor at this level.
  2. Yes, that's why he ultimately needs to be upgraded, but he was still one of our best players today. No one else provided any end product either, and they certainly didn't contribute as much as he did, other than the defence.
  3. I feel the criticism of Almiron is a bit harsh today, regardless of end product, he actually played the best all round game, nicking the ball, setting up plays and transitioning the ball and generally being a pest to Brighton. He was everywhere, and kept possession well. There were a few others who struggled with Brighton's pressure a lot more.
  4. I don't think their keeper had to make a save did he? A point was a good result in the end.
  5. Same. I thought he was one of our better players and was constantly giving them a hard time. Maxi looked dangerous up to a point, then failed to pick out a man time after time.
  6. Because you don't want either side to win. It's a shame they couldn't both lose tbh.
  7. Yeah he's exactly what we need on the RW.
  8. Not if we are switching our attention to Paqueta for £20m less than what it would cost for Maddison.
  9. It's quite strange how these two teams have joined the ranks of Liverpool as being my most disliked in the Premier. It's often manager related, and the managers in charge of these two are genuine bell ends.
  10. Yeah, it's absolutely infuriating how Ashley ran down the value of the squad to such an extent, and now it's staring us in the face when we can't even give our players away without subsidising either the player or the club they are joining because they can't afford their inflated wages. It's there in black and white, literally.
  11. I think it's pointless using examples from January and trying to make out we are using that template now. We are actually doing the opposite if anything and trying to upgrade in quality at the expense of making easy signings.
  12. How good would relegation have looked for FFP?
  13. Your logic was that £13m was a waste of money for Burn, but I already contended that we probably more than made up that money just by finishing 11th in the table. You can't seriously argue that we would have finished that high if we had Clark or Lascelles playing instead. A lot of wins by one goal got us some crucial three-pointers and our defence played a massive part in that.
  14. I don't know if anyone is really disagreeing though. Burn was fantastic for the position we were in, we aren't in that position now, so why would we be making those type of signings? I'm pretty sure the club is relaying the same message, we are only interested in a very select pool of quality players, otherwise I'm sure we could have signed Cornet or Dennis by now.

    Callum Wilson

But we are atively looking for a younger striker even this window, you would like to think we'd have brought in someone pretty exciting who would be a possible successor to Wilson by then.

    Callum Wilson

As big a fan as I am of Wilson, I have to agree. But I doubt we'll be handing him a contract extension unless he stays fit for a fair proportion of this season, and given his history, that's a big ask.

    Callum Wilson

Absolutely. It was only after watching the game back I noticed that there was also 2 or 3 occasions where he had found space at the far post for a tap in and either Maxi or Almiron couldn't put him in and he was going ballistic pointing both arms down at his feet in front of goal. He stays fit for a full season and he's hitting 20 goals no problem.
  18. Yeah we won't. So what is it you have a problem with?

    Gonçalo Ramos

I'm amazed it was there in the first place seeing as they signed Ekiteke.
  20. We finished 11th last season, pretty sure a lot of that was down to Dan Burn and his rock solid defending. I would have though the higher placed finish would have paid for his transfer fee in itself, never mind his contribution towards us avoiding relegation.
  21. Not really. It's like musical chairs at the moment with Chelsea, Barcelona,PSG and others throwing their hat in for every player that becomes available. That inevitably means they'll need to move players out before the window closes which means their players will come onto the market. There's going to be some decent forwards we can go for at the end of the window IMO, even if only on loan.

Showing his vast football knowledge by reading up on who his former employers are looking at then putting a bid in.

    Lee Charnley

As did Joe Kinnear for what that's worth.
