Sort of agree like.

We need to get rid of this idea that he was ever a liability tbh. He's just got us £15-20m worth of pure PSR profit. He was a fantastic signing and fans need to start giving our recruitment team some props.
-
Now we've got a fucking Lewis Scally to worry about if this wasn't already a big enough game.
-
I normally would want Arsenal to lose this, but realistically we've got more chance of catching City. Although we'll probably not catch either.
-
That's because once they stopped buying European players everyone in Europe lost interest. We have no idea if there's even much appetite for football in China, if there is, I would think their domestic league will probably do fine on it's own terms. Saudi league is different because we know there is a massive market for football and they can probably throw money at it for long enough to grow the standard of their homegrown players and coaching to a point where it's self sufficient. It might not replace UEFA leagues for popularity, but it might grow it's own fanbase in a few years.

They did push us to the edge of PSR but we avoided relegation and got CL football on the back of it at the end of the day.

That's my take on it as well. Risky I agree, but at least we do have a proper RB as cover so might be better getting some money in if Tripps wants the move.
-
Up to this point I have always been pretty confident we'll finish ahead of Forest and Bournemouth, I was more bothered about Chelsea and Villa. Now I'm revising that opinion, but we should get Europe in one form or another. Might see a couple of big stars moving if we don't make CL though.

This is the thing which I don't get about not changing a winning team. He will be forced into it anyway when Joelinton inevitably gets banned. Isn't it better to do it on your own terms and swap him out once in a while just to freshen things up, and keep the likes of Miley match sharp?

That's how I saw it as well. We looked well off the pace.

I thought the window had slammed shut yesterday, clearly I am well out of the loop.
-
Absolutely love it personally.

They'll be the same people who were insisting Anthony Elanga is shite all season, probably on the basis of watching one game a year ago.
-
You said it right there yourself. Generally people only criticise after a poor performance, even Eddie Howe does the same thing. If we'd put in a good show and it was a ding dong battle then you just put it down to bad luck. Two home defeats in a row, a poor showing, and the players looking well off it, and obviously it will cause concern.
-
Except Howe will have sanctioned it, and he does tend to have an eye for a player.
-
I thought they had a poor start under Iraola but they've improved steadily the longer he's been there?
-
Think he'll do well there so a decent deal for both sides.
-
Forest and Bournemouth have been pretty consistent tbf. Think losing to Liverpool is not really a black mark against any team.
-
Yeah. That is just making our genuinely good players ineffective and demotivated.
-
Think the decision to not rotate is starting to catch up. I know it's not easy to change a winning team but the players have been looking like they are going through the motions in the last few games.
-
All three were pretty poor tbh.

Got carried away with our run of wins. On reflection we only look good when we are playing at 100% and other teams can't match our output. When they can then the technique of a few starts getting found out.
