Could see it coming even at half time when we were 1-0. Played really poor football for 90 mins.

Thought he would score more goals for us when we signed him, he always seemed to score against us. I think he was just unlucky that season we were more about defending for our lives, the supply lines were not the best. We made him look worse than he was tbh.

Feel like Tino is the sort of athlete who will cope better than most tbh.

I would still be disappointed if we don't overhaul Forest. They have to come to our place yet. We want a CL spot, if we are going to miss out, I don't want it to be to the likes of Forest or Bournemouth.

I tend to ignore NO opinions on a player mostly, especially as I don't watch other teams much. When we were constantly linked with Elanga and people here kept bashing him I was flummoxed because generally when we chase a player persistently, he tends to be pretty good. Gordon is a great example of this. Every time I've seen Elanga this season he's been pretty impressive. He's not the finished article but I think Forest got him at a great price.

Nothing odd about it. I'd rather have a better player as a Newcastle fan and £25m would have gone a long way towards that. He'd have been getting paid to play football in Saudi Arabia, same as Ronaldo and Neymar, it's not like he'd have been getting chucked in a cell and being hung upside down getting his soles beat with a baton. That said, I can totally respect his decision to stay here if he didn't want to move. He has to look at what's best for him, just as I have the right to look at what's better for us as a club.

Yeah I can understand it from his position. From my position as a fan I want to see better players coming in, and PSR means we have to sell players like Longstaff so we can fund it. I gave the same reason for being disappointed Miggy turned down the £25m move to Saudi. Totally get that he was waiting for a move somewhere else, but as a fan I was disappointed because it's cost us getting a replacement.

It's why we need to be able to spend on the squad to drive real success. That's what puts bums on seats once you get past the diehard support base and shoots you into the superleage echelons. It's also why the cartel have worked so hard to make sure we can't spend on the team. Go build a new training ground or a conference suite and you're fine.

Unfortunately these rules were brought in specifically to stop us spending so they are working exactly as intended.

This is what I'm wondering as well. Mitchell has been brought in to scout out future stars, but we can't really do much with a handful of Osulas. Eddie's not going to start them for one. Are we going to be buying any ready to go players?

Fulham are a funny side as we found out down there. Not really that polished, but a combination of some pace and power, with a manager who lets them loose with it, means they will pose plenty of threat. You'd like to think we'll win it though.

People were moaning he had done nowt when he'd been barely here a fortnight, it was inevitable there would be an inquest if we did nowt in January. Despite us already saying before the window we would probably wait until the summer to make big moves.

Miggy will tear it up in that league. For all their ambition, their level is still way below the PL so I reckon he'll score plenty of goals, might be even more of a success than when he was there as a younger player. He'll be battle hardened after playing here so long.

Duran is also only 21 so was always going to command a higher fee. Still a lot to pay for someone who's having his first good season but he does look a good player.
