It's Mitchell who should be making the hard nosed business decisions, and I don't see how it makes sense to give a contract extension to a 35 year old keeper if we want to free up money to buy a younger better version.

None of those were really big name talents at the time which is the criteria I used. If Arsenal had gone past mild interest in Bruno or Isak, do you really think they would be here? If Liverpool or Chelsea want Kvaratskhelia, then we won't get him IMO.

Don't really think we are signing anyone this window, but there is always going to be a Liverpool or Chelsea ahead of us in the queue for the really big name talents. Our signings will probably be younger hopefuls who might come good in 12 months or so.

Agree. He's a General in every sense of the word. Spotting the weak links in the defensive chain and swooping in to close them off, then pressing the fuck out of the opposition when they have the ball before pinging in a killer pass. He's turbo charged class.
