  1. Just hope he doesn't freeze being back at his old stomping ground. Hopefully he'll make them regret letting him go instead.
  2. Quite excited to see what the Willock, Tonali, Joelinton midfield looks like.
  3. Tbf, if it's just Leicester and Chelsea, they might just decide to punish Leicester twice.
  4. Think it's more that they don't think the Carabao Cup is worth the bother. They can't really be dismissive of us since we've cleaned their clocks a few times under Howe.
  5. Exactly. I'll be astounded if he's given a new contract.
  6. I think this is what Howe was alluding to when he said business decisions were overriding football decisions now. Or at least I hope it was. Howe is absolutely right as a coach to want to keep a goalie like Dubravka, he is still as good a back up keeper as any in the PL. But Mitchell would be absolutely right to take £6m for a 35 year old keeper if it's on the table.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

    Couldn't have put it better.
  8. Would Forest get deducted points accumulated this season? Might be helpful for our CL campaign.

    Fabian Schär

Hopefully that's what we are talking about here.
  10. Might as well sign another 3 shit keepers for £20m if we are giving Dubravka a new contract.

    St James' Park

I really like the crest as it is. I think the mackems trying to copy the basic design is testament to it's envy generating value.
  12. It will be the other way round. Longstaff has never operated as the number 6, he will play ahead of Tonali if he gets the nod.

    St James' Park

It's all about increasing club revenue, matchday and other avenues such as concerts, events etc. We don't have to do it, but should probably lower our expectations of winning stuff or being consistent Champions League contenders in the long run if we don't.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

There's probably already one lined up, but will probably be for the summer, not this window.
  15. Very intrigued to see how that works out. We'll obviously miss Bruno's ability as a conductor, but it will increase our running power and defensive rigidity. Ultimately it might result in us defending too much though as I can see the ball getting lost in possession a lot more than usual.
  16. Not a fan at all of his style of writing, reads more like something you would have read in a fanzine years ago. It has it's place, just don't think it belongs in a broadsheet. Will be interesting to see if Murphy can use the current high praise he's getting to kick on for the second half of the season and put to rest all this talk of his form being patchy.
  17. Forest are a good example of how it might pay to break the rules and take the punishment rather than accept the shackles imposed by the cartel led authorities.
  18. Exactly. Fair play to them, they are having a storming season, and they do have a couple of really dangerous players in Elanga and MGW, but if they are still ahead of us at the end of the season, I would be disappointed.
  19. If Forest won it, all it would do is undermine all the progress we've made over the last few years. Fuck that.

While they are stockpiling an impressive collection of top class players, you can imagine it can't be much good for building team spirit. Some of their players like Madueke have already been accused of taking their foot off the gas. I know some managers specifically don't like having large squads because it can affect the unity of the camp.
  21. Villa are probably more of a threat aye, but what I meant was that Man U and Spurs means 2 teams less to worry about for a CL place unless they go on some sort of miracle run, and our form drops off a cliff.
  22. It'a weird because I detest Liverpool normally, but for us a win for them is probably the better result. I'll still probably end up being happier if they lose though.
